4 days and 3 book stores later, I was finally able to get my hands on the first book of the ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’ series. I’ve wanted to read the series since HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones’ came out but I was afraid that I was going to get too many spoilers. Usually I like to read things before I see their movie or television counterpart, but this is not the case.
I plan on reading the books up until what has been covered in the third season of its HBO counterpart. I look forward to reading and comparing how things actually go down in the book and how they choose to portray in on television. I’ve heard that the show cuts out a lot of details and shortens major events (obviously, it’s a hour show.)
I’m just excited to get more back story on my favorite Game of Thrones characters!
