Summer 2013 Updated Vinyl Collection

Fleetwood Mac Rumours Vinyl Record
I’ve added a few new records to my collection since my last Vinyl Update so I though it would be fun to do a post on my updated Vinyl collection. My collection is finally coming together like I want it to. I can’t wait until I have bookcases full of records. They’re mostly oldies but definitely all goodies! My new vinyls include:

Vinyl Record Collection

  • Foreigner Double Version
  • Mozart Concerto No. 20 in D Minor
  • Barry Manilow Tryin’ To Get the Feeling
  • Various Artist The Best From Broadway to Hollywood
  • Nat ‘King’ Cole Thought of You
  • Barbra Streisand Simply Streisand
  • Coldplay X&Y

I’ve gone from 9 records to 16 in less than a month! Pretty darn good if I do say so myself. I found that I (and my wallet) prefer to buy records from used record stores or thrift stores.  I really want my collection to have a balance between recent artists and the classics. So far I have more ‘classics’ but I guess that’s because recently made vinyls are so darn pricey.

My next goal is to get an Aerosmith record and Coldplay’s Parachutes. I’m starting to notice that you have to go into a used record store of thrift shop with an open mind since you really don’t know what you’re going to find.

I was so happy to find a Mozart Vinyl (and for only a buck! Hooray for thrift stores.) I’m a huge classical music fan. When I do work I often need music playing in the background to concentrate. My go-to’s are classical or jazz ( I really am an old soul.)
