Lana Del Rey 2013 Lollapalooza After Show Performance

August 3, 2013

It’s August and for Chicago that means Lollapalooza time! The music festival, which hosts over 200,000 people over a three-day period and features popular alternative rock, indie, punk rock, and hip hop artists, has finally begun!
Thursday, I was lucky enough to see one of my FAVORITE artists perform at The House Of Blues: Lana Del Rey. I’ve been a Lana fan for years but over the last 8 months I’ve gone from loving her to being a tad bit obsessed (can you blame me??)

Lana started off the concert by singing Cola and ended with National Anthem. In between she sung: Blue Jeans, Young and Beautiful, American, Summertime Sadness, Carmen (I was so happy, I LOVE Carmen), Video Games, Born to Die, Ride, Million Dollar Man and Body Electric. Let me just say that this concert made me love Lana Del Rey even more (if that’s possible!) She was so humble and appreciative. She went into the audience on several occasions to hug and kiss people on the cheeks. She also signed autographs and took pictures with fans. Someone made her a flower crown and a necklace so she went into the audience, grabbed the items and wore them for the remainder of the song.

My phone died from all the recordings I took (I recored Summertime Sadness, Young and Beautiful, Ride, Million Dollar Man and Video Games!) I will treasure that night (and those videos) forever! If Lana ever decides to tour in America and makes a stop in Chicago, I will definitely get front row seats to go!
