12 Months of Happiness: March 2015

12 Months Of Happiness
Happy April! April is my absolute FAVORITE month of the year because it happens to be my birthday month. Enough about April though, welcome to the third month of my 12 Months of Happiness series! I absolutely LOVE this series of mine! Nothing makes me happier than going back and remembering (and listing) all (most of) the things that made be happy that month. It really puts things into perspective. It’s so important to celebrate and appreciate ALL the happy moments (big or small) in our lives! I’ve noticed that both the starting images for my January + February12 Months of Happiness‘ posts were flowers so I decided to continue with the floral theme! Here are some of the things that made me happy in March:

The Art of Disney: The Golden Age Postcard Collection Book first made an appearance on Simply Sinova in my February ‘Must Haves’ post and I’ve been OBSESSED ever since. If you follow me on Instagram, than you’ve probably seen these postcards popping up a lot in my feed (they’re just so darn cute I can’t help it!) The book comes with 100 postcard representing all the films in Disney’s Golden Age (aka Snow White – 101 Dalmatians!) I HIGHLY recommend this postcard collection book for any Disney (or postcard) lovers!12-months-of-happiness_once-upon-a-time
Once Upon A Time is one of my favorite shows and after an almost 3 month hiatus, it came back this month! If it wasn’t pretty obvious, I’m a hardcore Disney fan. What I love about Once Upon A Time is the fact that it puts a new spin on our favorite Disney classics! Another show that made me happy this month was the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt! What a HILARIOUS show. If I had to describe my humor to someone who didn’t know me, that’s the show I’d use to describe it (I want Titus to be my roommate so bad!)12-months-of-happiness-march_12-months-of-happiness_happiness-project
This month I FINALLY got 3 Day Lolla Passes (woot woot!) I was originally going to go to Coachella to celebrate my birthday (which is ALWAYS during the second weekend on the festival) but we decided to push back our California trip to May so we could go to the Disneyland 60th Diamond Anniversary celebration. Although I’ve gone to dozens of Lollapalooza after shows (like Lana Del Rey, Ellie Goulding, The Lumineers, Two Door Cinema Club and Young the Giant to name a few,) I’ve never had more than a 1 Day Pass! I CAN’T WAIT to see Paul McCartney, Florence and the Machine, Of Monsters and Men (I almost saw them at Lolla a few years ago,) Marina & the Diamonds, Walk The Moon and SO MANY OTHERS! Every year I tell myself I’m going to get 3 Day Passes and I never too. I’m so happy I randomly decided to grab them because they sold out in less than 40 minutes!12-Months-of-Happiness_The-Art-Institute-of-Chicago_what-makes-me-happy
I visit the Art Institute (aka my FAVORITE museum) every Thursday from 5-8 since that’s when it’s free to Illinois residents (I’m all about fun on a budget!) Although I go every week, last week’s visit was extra special because my best friend (who’s never been to the museum) tagged along! I could (and I do) spend HOURS at the Art Institute. I NEVER grow tired of it! I love getting to see my favorite painting, Van Gogh’s ‘The Bedroom,’ every week. It always puts a smile on my face, especially when I see younger kids exploring the museum and really getting into the art (it reminds me of myself as a kid!) If you’re ever in the Chicago area, I HIGHLY recommend giving the Art Institute a visit. There’s a reason Trip Advisor named it the BEST museum in the WORLD (that’s right the WORLD! Go head on Chitown!)

I still can’t believe it’s already April (and that my birthday’s in two weeks?!!) What made you happy in March?
