Located directly across the street from Disneyland lies one of my (and my mom’s) favorite Anaheim eateries: The Pizza Press! The Pizza Press is an adorable little pizza place where you can choose from their yummy recipes or build your own pizza. We discovered the Pizza Press on our first night in Anaheim (since it was right next to our hotel) and instantly fell in love. In fact, the Pizza Press became our go-to daily (yes, DAILY) lunch spot during our five day Disneyland trip. After spending a few hours at the parks, we’d run over to the Pizza Press, have lunch, rest for an hour in our hotel room and then head back to Disney for the rest of the day. It was so funny because we weren’t the only ones with this idea. The Pizza Press was constantly filled with people wearing Mickey ears and Disney gear. The employees were so nice that they even allowed us to use our Disney pass holders discount (15% off food) our first time visiting even though they aren’t affiliated with Disney (they also gave us another discount since it was my mom’s birthday one of the days we were in California!)

Since we frequented the Pizza Press so much during our trip, we got to try most of the menu. My personal favorites were “The Press Cheese” and “The Tribune.” I also liked making my own creation which consisted of red sauce, white sauce, mozzarella cheese, ricotta, pepperoni, Italian sausage, cherry tomatoes and a little bit of roasted peppers!

“The Press Cheese,” which is red sauce, mozzarella, ricotta and parmesan cheese, was definitely my favorite “menu” pizza (seriously, if you’ve never had ricotta on a pizza, PLEASE try it!) Fun fact: I LOVE ricotta!

My mom’s a little less adventurous when it comes to food, so although she loved all the pizza she tried, her go-to was plain Italian sausage (which was a ‘build your own pizza.’)

I think what I really loved about the Pizza Press (besides the super yummy pizza) was the overall theme/vibe of the restaurant. I’ve always had a deep love for writing, reporting and newspapers (in fact, I have a BA in Journalism), so I love the “press” theme (how adorable is that typewriter!) It’s so cute that all the pizzas are named after different newspaper publications (i.e the Tribunes, The Times, etc.) I highly recommend stopping by the Pizza Press if you’re ever in the Anaheim area.
What’s your favorite pizza toppings/how would you build your pizza?
