Last week was one of those rare occasions were I wasn’t scrambling to make sure everything was done. I had all my work tasks finished for the week, I had a few blog posts ready to go and I even finished a few of the freelance articles I had due. Usually, I leave things to the last minute (especially my freelance articles) but last week I made a special effort to get everything done ahead of time so I could enjoy my weekend without any stress! With nothing to do, I decided to head over to Jewel-Osco, pick up some of my favorite strawberry lemonade, a few snacks and two of my favorite magazines as I prepared for some much needed me time! Be sure to take advantage of $1.00 off participating titles (PEOPLE®, InStyle®, People StyleWatch®, Real Simple®, and Sunset®) at Jewel-Osco with this digital offer until 10/18/15 while supplies last.
One of my favorite things about late summer/early fall is the GORGEOUS weather here in Chicago. I love grabbing a snack and having lunch outside on our patio while I catch up on some articles from my favorite magazines (I LOVE the“Do They Really Work” beauty products article in this month’s InStyle.) The only thing that makes me time even better is when my little Loki joins me!
I think Loki is just as excited to dive into September’s InStyle magazine as I am! How ironic that this month’s covergirl is Anne Hathaway since I’ll be attending the advance screening of her latest film, The Intern, TOMORROW (I’m so excited!) Since I’ve been traveling so much lately, I haven’t been able to attend as many advance screenings as I would have liked too but nevertheless I’m excited to check out The Intern.
I think Loki’s perfected the ‘relaxation face!’ It’s crazy how relaxing a little me (and Loki) time can be. My goal this fall is to schedule at least one hour of me time a day. That’s right, ONE HOUR of not thinking about all those articles I have to write. One hour of not stressing about my next deadline. One hour of not constantly going over the itineraries for my next few trips. One of hour of pure relaxation! I invite you all to try and schedule a little daily (or weekly) ‘me time’ too. Trust me, you WON’T regret it!
