I LOVE to travel! In fact, I JUST got back from Disney World/Florida TODAY! It’s always so exciting visiting places (both old and new) and making fun new memories. Although I’ve been to Disney World more times than I can count on my fingers and toes, I never get tired of visiting because there’s always new memories to be made! Even though I LOVE Chicago (seriously, it’s the BEST city ever), it feels good to get away from home sometimes (especially when I’m staying at one of my favorite hotels!) As part of the largest-ever integrated marketing campaign for the Hyatt Regency brand, Hyatt Gold Passport has teamed up with Comedy Central and a cast of comedians around an insight they heard from travelers: the simple human truth that, sometimes, it’s good not to be home (because who couldn’t use a good vacation?) Passport to Comedy at Hyatt Regency Megan Gailey
On November 10, a cast of comedians across the country interacted with  Hyatt Regency guests to create those funny, “not at home” experiences we can all relate to that help us make the most of being away (breakfast in bed is a hotel MUST!) I was lucky enough to witness the hilarious Megan Gailey at Hyatt Regency McCormick Place as she laughed, shared stories, improved and even did yoga with guest all from her ‘hotel bed’ in the lobby! It was so amazing watching Megan work her comedy magic as different guests came over and joined in on the fun. I’m a firm believer that laughter is the best medicine and with all the recent events surrounding us, we could all use a good laugh (or two!)Comedy Central Passport to Comedy at Hyatt Regency
It was so awesome experiencing all the behind the scenes action! I used to work at a movie theater where I would  sometimes oversee media events and have even witnessed a few red carpet moments/interviews at some of the many advance screenings I’ve attended but I’ve never been this up close and personal with a TV shoot. Comedy Central Passport to Comedy Event
Comedy Central Passport to ComedyAt one point Megan and a guest shared room service fries (delivered right to her hotel bed in the lobby) as they reminisced about their favorite part about traveling (room service is definitely one of my favorite perks of traveling!) It really warmed by heart to see so many guests (who had no idea this #PassportToComedy event was going to be held) coming up and interacting with Megan. Seeing their faces as they talked, laughed and shared life stories with Megan was truly the highlight of the event. It just goes to show that a little conversation and humor is all it takes to brighten someones day!Comedy Central #PassportToComedy
Hyatt Regency Passport to ComedyAnother one of my favorite parts about traveling? Those awesome hotel gym faculties! One of my favorite interactions of the day is when Megan and a guest put their cycling skills to use (just because you’re one vacation doesn’t mean you don’t have time to fit in a little exercise!)  The best “Passport to Comedy” moments, bloopers and jokes were captured and shared on the Hyatt Regency brand’s social channels, and travelers were encouraged to join in by sharing their own “not at home” moments with the hashtags #PassportToComedy and #AtHyattRegency.
