Happy Wednesday everyone! While I’m having a BLAST at Disneyland right now (I’ve been here since last Saturday), I really wanted to talk about something near to my heart today. As some of you may know, I LOVE volunteering and doing charity work. (In fact, I volunteer at my local animal shelter on most Fridays.) It really warms my heart to know that I’m truly helping to make a difference (remember, every little bit helps!) Speaking of making a difference, Depend is on a mission to break the myths and the stigma surrounding bladder leakage. I’ve mentioned this on the blog before but a good family friend of mine, Carol (who recently had her second child), struggles with, what she calls, “post pregnancy bladder leakage.” Although she’s rather young (she’s only 32,) she said she’s experienced it with both of her children. The crazy thing is, until about a year ago I thought only people in their 60s or 70s experienced bladder leakage but thanks to Depend’s #Underwareness movement, I’ve learned that there are more people who experience bladder leakage in their 20’s than their 80’s (say what?!) I think my favorite thing about Depend’s #Underwareness movement is that Carol (and many other women) no longer feels the need to be embarrassed about her bladder leakage (over 65 million Americans experience bladder leakage so you’re definitely not alone!)
Another thing I love about the #Underwareness movement? Depend will donate $1, up to $3 million, over the next three years to charities that advance the research, education and awareness of bladder leakage for:
• Every pant drop, photo and video shared using #Underwareness and #DropYourPants
• Every personal video made about ‘what Underwareness means to you’ that is uploaded to YouTube and tagged #Underwareness and #DropYourPants.
Make sure to visit Underwareness to join the movement and request free samples of Depend for yourself or someone else dealing with the issue of leakage. To claim your Depend Active Fit Silhouette brief FREE SAMPLES today, visit the Depend landing page and clicking on the “Get a Sample” button located at the top right-hand side of the screen.
*Special thanks to Depend for sponsoring today’s post! As always, all opinions are my own*
