Happy Friday (hooray for the weekend) and welcome back to another installment of my “What I’m Looking Forward To” series! I absolutely LOVE this series and I can’t believe that this is already the sixth installment of it. If you haven’t already noticed, I LOVE making bucket lists, documenting happy moments and writing posts like this and since I’ve had such a positive response from you all on this series, hopefully that means you guys like reading these kinds of posts as much as I like writing them! I can’t wait for spring to start next week, technically this weekend! Spring is my absolute FAVORITE season (mostly because it’s my birthday season!), For me, spring means traveling, rainy nights (which I LOVE), fresh flowers, birthday wishes, gorgeous weather, spring cleaning, chocolate bunnies and everything in between! Here are a few of the things I’m looking forward to this spring (March 20 – June 19):
My birthday! Spring is my absolute favorite season because it’s my birthday season. I can’t wait to celebrate my 24th birthday (next month) in Paris (at Disneyland Paris!) Fun fact: I share my birthday (April 17th) with Victoria Beckham, Jennifer Garner and Sean Bean! (Side note: how adorable is that Hello Kitty brownie cake my friend made me for my birthday a few years ago?!).
Paris. I am so EXCITED to go to Paris this spring (I’m headed there next month for my birthday!). I’ve wanted to visit Paris my whole life so I’m so excited to FINALLY be able to do so (and it’s double awesome since I’m going for my birthday). I’ve taken over 6+ years of French in my life, so hopefully I’ll be able to navigate things okay. I can’t wait to visit The Louvre, Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame de Paris and everything in between (I’ll be there for nine days so I plan on trying to experience everything Paris has to offer!).
Disneyland Paris. Although there are so many amazing things I plan on doing in Paris while I’m there, the MAIN reason I’m going is to visit Disneyland Paris! Being the HUGE Disney lover that I am, I plan on visiting ALL the international Disney Parks (Paris, Hong Kong, Tokyo and coming this summer, Shanghai!). In fact, I’m in the process of planning/booking my Tokyo Disneyland trip right now! I’m so happy I’m visiting Disneyland Paris next month because I hear it’s breathtaking in the spring!
London. Along with Paris, I’ll also be visiting London while I’m in Europe next month. I’ve talked about this several times on the blog before but London will always have a special place in my family’s heart since it’s where my family (my mom, sister and I) essentially began since my sister was born there. Even though my mom lived in London for 4+ years and my sister was born there, I’ve never been so I’m excited to finally get to experience it for myself. I’m super EXCITED because I’ll be doing the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter while I’m in London! I also plan on seeing a West End play (or two). Fun fact: when my mom lived in London she got to see the ORIGINAL Broadway cast of Les Misérables (how cool is that!?).
Disney World. As many of you may know, I’m a Disney Premier Passport holder (meaning I have annual passes to BOTH Disneyland AND Disney World, that’s one of the reasons I was able to visit Disney monthly for the past 11 months). Since my annual pass expires in late May (don’t worry, I DEFINITELY plan on renewing my pass), I decided to squeeze in one more Disney trip! I decided to do a last minute trip to Disney World in May to see the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival! I’m so EXCITED (if you couldn’t tell, Disney is my LIFE!).
Here are a few other things that I’m looking forward to this spring:
- Celebrating my mom’s birthday (in May).
- Seeing Beauty and the Beast on Broadway (again!).
- Seeing awesome films like The Jungle Book, Captain America: Civil War, X-Men: Apocalypse and so many more!
- Attending the Chicago Flower & Garden Show.
- Covering/attending C2E2: Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo (check out my recap HERE).
- Possibly attending BookCon or BookExpo America (I haven’t decided if I want to go yet).
