Happy Friday and welcome to the latest installment of my 12 Months of Happiness series! I’m super excited because it’s currently Lollapalooza weekend here in Chicago (make sure to follow me on snapchat, simplysinova, for lots of Lolla fun), hence the radio silence on the blog this past week. Although I look forward to Lolla weekend each year, I’m super excited because since it’s Lolla’s 25th anniversary, this year the music festival is four days long instead of three (an extra day of Lolla? YES PLEASE!). I couldn’t think of a better way to end July (since Lolla ends July 31st) than by seeing some of my favorite artists perform! Here are some of the things that made July an amazing month: (Don’t forget to comment down below how your July went and what things made you smile this month! If you’ve been reading this blog for a while than you already know that I LOVE holidays! It’s just so much fun getting together and celebrating with your loved ones. This year was Loki’s second Fourth of July and although he still HATES fireworks, I think the smell of BBQ is his new favorite scent!
I’m one of those people who just love the little things. Seriously, I pride myself on being able to literally find happiness in almost anything. Whenever I open a new blind box, it just makes me smile so much. I LOVE collecting toys and little figures, so add a little mystery into the mix and you’ve got yourself a good time! This month, I opened a few  Pusheen Surprise Plush Blind Boxes and some of the new Funko Harry Potter Mystery Minis.
As some of you may (I mean, it’s pretty obvious since I talk about it all the time) Coldplay is my FAVORITE band (and they have been since I heard their debut album back in 1999 when I was 7!). Last Sunday I was FINALLY able to cross “see Coldplay in concert” off my 25 before 25 bucket list and I couldn’t be more excited! Seeing Coldplay live was amazing. I can’t even put into words how amazing it was. Basically, it was the BEST DAY EVER!
Although Lollapalooza just started yesterday, I can already tell this year’s festival is going to be AWESOME! The highlight of day one of Lollapalooza 2016 was definitely seeing my girl Melanie Martinez! I LOVE her so much, so I’m super happy I finally got to see her live. I’m super excited for day two of Lolla (which is today) because I get to see Future and Major Lazer! Stay tuned next week for a full recap of Lollapalooza 2016 next week.

Here’s a few other things that made me happy in July: 

• I saw The Book of Mormon for the SIXTH time (yes, I love it THAT much!).
• Disneyland turned 61 (I can’t wait to visit it again October!).
• I got to attend the a really cool “Lumberjack to Lumberjack” event!
• Minnie Mouse washi tape (need I say more!).
• I got to see The Roots, Chance the Rapper, KONGOS, Elle King, The Decemberists AND Billy Idol for FREE at the Taste of Chicago. 
• The new Gilmore Girls revival trailer came out (and I almost teared up watching it. Gilmore Girls was/is such a he part o my life and I’m so excited to see my girls Lorelai and Rory again).
• Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (need I say more?).
