Happy Friday (raise your hand if you’re excited that it’s finally the weekend!). Today, I’m back with another Disney Restaurant Review (I have so much fun with these posts)! Although I’m heading to Disney World for TWO WEEKS in August and then again in September (for the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival), I won’t be visiting Disneyland again until October (for Halloween). It’s been so long since I’ve visited Disneyland (okay, it’s only been five months and I realize that isn’t that long but for someone like me, who visits the Disney Parks basically every month, it seems like a lifetime) and I miss it so much! So, to get over the Disneyland blues I’ve been experiencing lately, today’s post is all about breakfast at Flo’s V8 Café (because breakfast is the most important meal of the day, am I right?)! Carsland is definitely one of my favorite aspects of California Adventure and no trip to Carsland is complete without a visit to Flo’s V8 Café (and a ride on Radiator Springs Racers of course!).
One of my FAVORITE things about having breakfast at Flo’s V8 Café is that it never seems to get too crowded. There’s always a ton of seats/room for everyone, which is the opposite of having breakfast over at Disneyland, where a lot of the breakfast spots usually have limited seating. Speaking of breakfast at Disneyland, I’m so sad that they stopped serving breakfast at the River Belle Terrace (it was one of my favorite Disneyland morning traditions!).
Cars waffles? Yes please! As of now, I’ve had Mickey waffles, Cars waffles and Darth Vader waffles! Now all I need to do is have breakfast at Ohana’s (located in Disney World Resort) so I can try Stitch waffles (they all taste the same, like regular waffles, but it’s still cute having Disney/Pixar characters in food form!).
My go-to breakfast at Flo’s V8 Café is the American Breakfast, which consists of scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, bacon and a biscuit. For only $8 (even cheaper if you’re an annual passholder, like myself), it’s a pretty good way to start off your Disneyland (or California Adventure in this case) day (hey, that rhymes!).
These adorable Cars waffles (which feature Mater on one side of the waffle and Lightning McQueen on the other side) are available on the kids menu (no you don’t have to be a kid or have a child in your party to order them. I’m 24 and order them all the time!) and are served with turkey bacon and fresh fruit.
While the food is pretty good (it’s not “fancy restaurant breakfast quality” but it’s definitely a step up from most hotel continental breakfasts and it’s reasonably priced), my favorite thing about having breakfast at Flo’s V8 Café is the view of Radiator Springs Racers from the restaurant. I mean, talk about breakfast with a view!
