Happy Thursday and welcome back to another installment of my “What I’m Looking Forward To” series! Since it’s now OFFICIALLY winter (aka one of my favorite times of the year), I thought today would be the perfect time to share with you all a few things I’m looking forward to this season. If you haven’t already noticed, I LOVE making bucket lists, documenting happy moments and writing posts like this (this just so happens to be my NINTH one) and since I’ve had such a positive response from you all on this series, hopefully that means you guys like reading these kinds of posts as much as I like writing them! For me, winter means building snowmen, hot cocoa, traveling, holiday lights, Christmas joy, New Years resolutions, peppermint bark, fuzzy sweaters, ice skating, hanging out with friends and everything in between! Here are a few of the things I’m looking forward to this winter (for reference, winter is from December 21, 2016 – March 20, 2017):
Paris. I’m super excited because I’m spending the holidays in Paris (I’ll be there on Friday) this year. Although I usually spent Christmas (and New Years) at Disney World, I decided to switch things up so I could experience the holiday season at Disneyland Paris! While I’m in Paris I definitely plan on visiting the Musée du Louvre again (seriously, I LOVE it there so much), the National Museum of Natural History and a few other local hotspots!
Disneyland Paris. Although I’ve visited Disneyland Paris before (in April for my birthday), this will be my first time visiting during winter/the holidays. I absolutely love Disney World and Disneyland during the holidays so I can’t wait to see all the gorgeous holiday decorations they have at Disneyland Paris.
Disney World. If you couldn’t tell from the (basically) monthly Disney trips I’ve taken over the last two years, I’m OBSESSED with all things Disney (no really, Disney is my LIFE!). So it’s no surprise that most of the things I’m looking froward to are some how Disney related. I had such a blast visiting the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival last year that I decided to go again in 2017! I’m going the first week in March/first week of the festival and I’m super excited!
Universal Orlando Resort. Since I’m heading to Disney World in March, it only makes since to swing over and visit Universal as well (fun fact: although I live in Chicago, I am an annual passholder to Universal Orlando Resort, Disneyland, Disney World AND Disneyland Paris!). Although I wasn’t always the biggest Universal fan growing up, after becoming a passholder last summer I’ve found a newfound love for the theme park! In fact, I spent 10 WHOLE DAYS exploring the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in August!
Here are a few other things that I’m looking forward to this winter:
- Seeing the live-action version of Beauty and the Beast (aka my favorite film of all-time!) and all the other awesome films that are coming out this winter.
- Celebrating Christmas and New Years Eve in Paris!
- Going Ice Skating!
- The Oscars (which I correctly predict EVERY year!)
- Celebrating my dog Loki’s second birthday (he was born on Valentine’s Day 2015!).
- Possibly taking a quick weekend trip in February to either DC or NYC to visit friends!
What are some of the things you’re looking forward to this winter?
