12 Months of Happiness: January 2017

12 Months of Happiness
Happy Monday! I am so EXCITED to be continuing on with my 12 Months of Happiness series this year. For those of you who are new readers, here’s a little bit of a 12 Months of Happiness recap: I had such a blast doing the 100 Happy Days Challenge back in 2014, that I wanted to start a little happiness project of my own but instead of doing a daily photo challenge, I thought it would be fun to recap a few of the things that made me happy each month! Now, here we are THREE years later (that’s right, this is the THIRD year of my 12 Months of Happiness series)! I am so grateful for all of the love, support and positive feedback I’ve gotten from you all on these series. I love going back through this series from time to time and looking at what made me (and all of you, thanks for all the lovely comments) happy in August 2015 or May 2016, etc. That in itself makes me happy. Here are some of the things that made January an amazing month: (Don’t forget to comment down below how your January went and what things made you smile this month! I LOVE hearing from you guys about what makes you happy):Walt Disney WorldThis month I took an impromptu trip to Walt Disney World (aka my second home!). Although I’ve visited Disney World (and Disneyland) 20+ times (honestly, I’ve stopped counting), I NEVER get tired of it (hence why I’m an annual passholder to Disneyland, Disney World and Disneyland Paris). I can’t really put it into words but there’s just something about the “Disney atmosphere” that makes me so happy. Some people get excited about going to a concert, or going out clubbing/ bar hopping with friends or buying new shoes but me, I get excited about visiting my pals Mickey and Minnie and riding It’s A Small World and eating Dole Whip. Be Our Guest Disney World
During my impromptu trip Disney World, I got to dine at Be Our Guest (aka the Beauty and the Beast themed restaurant located in Magic Kingdom) for the third time (I’ve eaten there for lunch twice and dinner once). For those of you who aren’t familiar with Be Our Guest, it’s almost impossible to get reservations. Like with all table service restaurants at Disney World, you can make reservations to up to 180 days in advance. With most Disney restaurants it’s not necessary to make reservations super far in advance (sometimes you can just go to the restaurant and wait for a table to open up) but at Be Our Guest, reservations fill up FAST! The first time I ate there I made reservations six months in advance and there were only three tables left when I made my reservation. The second time I ate there I lucked up and was able to get a reservation two months in advance. This time I REALLY lucked up because someone canceled there reservation the day before hand and I was able to grab it! (If you’re a Beauty and the Beast fan, make sure to check out my Be Our Guest (dinner) review HERE!).Epcot International Festival of the Arts
The main reason for my impromptu Disney World trip was so I can could check out and experience the (first ever!) Epcot International Festival of the Arts. I loved every second of it: the art, the performances and let’s not forget all the yummy food! You can check out my entire recap of the Epcot International Festival of the Arts HERE!dfewfefe
While I was in Florida, I also spent a few days at Universal Orlando (I’m an annual passholder to Universal as well!). I always have such a blast exploring the Wizarding World of Harry Potter whenever I’m at Universal. Since I went during an off season (there was literally NO ONE at the parks), I was able to ride Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey (my favorite WWOHP ride) several times back to back (which is always fun!).

Here’s a few other things that made me happy in January:

  • I rang in the New Year in Paris (talk about a great way to start off 2017!).
  • The #WomensMarch! #TheFutureIsFemale
  • I got a super cute new planner (new year, new planner!) Speaking of planners, I’m thinking about doing a few “planner posts” here on the blog. Like maybe a washi tape (I have 90+) collection post, a sticker collection/planner supplies post and planner/Michael’s haul posts!
  • I saw Hidden Figures (so good!).
  • I got a bunch of new candles (I’m obsessed with candles, BTW) at Bath and Body Works yesterday (hooray for sales + coupons!).

I can’t believe it’s almost February?! What made you happy in January?
