I know Christmas was three weeks ago (although it seems like it was yesterday) but I still wanted to share a few of my favorite photos from Christmastime at Disneyland Paris & Walt Disney Studios Park! Although I usually spend the holidays at Disney World, I decided to switch things up this year (well, technically “last” year) and spend Christmas and New Years at Disneyland Paris. Since I’ve experienced Disneyland during the holidays and Disney World during the holidays, it only made since to finally experience Christmastime at Disneyland Paris (and next year I might be experiencing Tokyo Disneyland during the holidays, so that’s fun!). Speaking of the Disney Parks, if you checked out my goals for 2017 post then you may recall that one of my goals for this year (and every year) is to travel more. Since I have a Disney Premier Passport (aka an annual pass to both Disneyland and Disney World), I travel to the Disney Parks quite frequently (in fact, I’ve been visiting the Disney Parks basically every other month since I first got my Disney Premier Passport in 2015). Even though I wasn’t planning on visiting Disney World again until March (I’ll be attending the first weekend of the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival), you all know how I LOVE spontaneous trips! Since the first ever Epcot International Festival of the Arts starts this weekend, I RANDOMLY decided to go and check it out! Yup that’s right, I’m heading to Disney World THIS weekend (talk about a great way to start off the new year!).
Before I get into all the adorable holiday decorations at Disneyland Paris & Walt Disney Studios Park, I wanted to share a few of my favorite photos from the Disneyland Hotel!
As soon as you walked into the Disneyland Hotel, you were instantly greeted by the most stunning Christmas tree.
I just love the Disneyland Hotel so much!
I seriously couldn’t get enough of Disneyland Paris’ Christmas tree on Main Street (look, you can see the Disneyland Hotel behind it!). First of all, how adorable are those ornaments (my favorite was definitely the gingerbread Mickey!). I don’t know about you but I am obsessed with Christmas trees. Seriously, if I could, I would keep my Christmas tree up year-round!
One of my absolute favorite things about Christmastime at Disneyland Paris were the amazing Mickey wreaths all throughout Main Street. They were truly breathtaking.
The Disney Parks definitely go all out for the holidays and Disneyland Paris was no exception! All of the garland, wreaths, lights and decor up and down Main Street was just so lovely. If you checked out my Springtime at Disneyland Paris post (or any of my Disney Parks posts really) then you’d know that one of my favorite things about the Disney Parks are all of the gorgeous window displays on Main Street!
Can we just talk about how GORGEOUS those window displays are? I am such a sucker for cute window displays!
Sadly, I didn’t take many photos at Walt Disney Studios Park since it just didn’t scream “Christmas’ like Disneyland Paris did.
Although the decorations at Walt Disney Studios Park didn’t even begin to compare to the decorations at Disneyland Paris, I did love getting to meet Mickey and Minnie at Walt Disney Studios Park! How freaking cute are their little winter outfits?!
Although this was my second time visiting Disneyland Paris, the last time I visited a lot of rides were down for revamping (since they were preparing for Disneyland Paris’ 25th anniversary) so I was a little bummed that I couldn’t ride certain things like Big Thunder Mountain, Peter Pan and the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. So I was super excited to finally get to ride all the rides that were down during my last visit (Peter Pan’s Flight is always one of my favorites!).
Although I LOVE Disneyland Paris, one of my favorite things about visiting the Disney Parks is all the yummy treats like Dole Whip, Churros, Candy Apples, etc and unfortunately, Disneyland Paris just doesn’t have those things (well, they have candy apples but they aren’t like the ones they sell at the US Disney Parks). In fact, I’m not a big fan of any of the food at Disneyland Paris (sorry, not sorry). Although, you can never go wrong with ice cream and crepes!
Story time: Right before the Christmas Parade began, there was this little girl (she looked like she was no older than four years old) with the cutest little British accent who said “Mum, teddy and kitty want to see the parade too.” She then preceded to take a cat and bear plushie out of her backpack and place them on the floor so they could watch the parade too! HOW ADORABLE!
How often do you see Duffy in a parade?
Oh how I love a good Disney parade! I’m so happy that I got to spend the holidays at Disneyland Paris. It was truly a magical experience!
