As some of you may know, Loki JUST turned two on Valentine’s Day, so of course I had to shower him with lots of fun treats and toys. While Loki does love getting new toys to play with, he’s definitely more of a foodie (I wonder where he gets it from?)! Ever since I adopted Loki from PAWS Chicago back in 2015, CESAR® has been his go-to wet food. It was the first meal he had in his new home and I think because of that, it’s sort of comforting for him. It’s so funny because as Loki is getting older, I’m starting to witness new little quirks in his personality that I didn’t seem to see before. For example, no matter where Loki is in the house, if you say “outside?”, he will RUN to the backdoor so he can go play in the backyard. I’ve always noticed that whenever he sees me grabbing a CESAR® wet food cup, he instantly goes and sits by his food bowl (clever dog!).
While I was at Walmart picking up a CESAR® Pate Mixed Variety Pack for his birthday, I decided to grab some of the new CESAR® Dry Filet Mignon with spring vegetables for Loki too. Since Loki is such a huge fan of CESAR® wet food, I knew he’d loved their new hard food as well. Mealtime is just as important for your dog as for you. I love that CESAR® lets you feed your dog like family, but keep them healthier at the same time. The introduction of the dry product line means there are even more flavor combinations for Loki to enjoy (hooray!).
Since I was surprising Loki with a new kind of dry food, I decided to surprise him with a cute new placemat as well (DIY gifts always make the best birthday presents in my opinion)!
I don’t know about your dog but Loki tends to be a bit of a messy eater sometimes! Not only was I excited about making him a placemat to spruce up his eating area but I also knew that the placemat would make post meal cleanup easier for me!
In order to make Loki an adorable placemat (to go along with this new dry food) for his birthday, I decided to pick up some duck tape and a white foam board while I was at Walmart.
All you need to do to make your furry friend an adorable placemat is cut your foam board to size and proceed to cover the entire board with duck tape. I choose to do a strip pattern, with each color alternating.
I LOVED how the placemat turned out (and yes, Loki is a boy dog but what can I say, he loves pink!).
I love that the new CESAR® Dry Food adds variety and expands Loki’s feeding regimen with a combination of both dry and wet products! Loki loves eating his CESAR® Dry Filet Mignon with spring vegetables for breakfast and then his CESAR® wet food as a midday treat!
So many yummy flavors (talk about comfort foods, am I right?)!
I think it’s safe to say that Loki LOVES CESAR® Dry Food (and his new placemat!).
Has your dog tried the new CESAR® Dry Food at Walmart yet?
