Happy Friday and welcome to the latest installment of my 12 Months of Happiness series! Although this month was really awesome, I’m actually super HAPPY that March is finally over and that tomorrow is April because April is my birthday month (any other fellow April babies?). This month was definitely one for the books. One the one hand, I got to spend the first part of the month at my second home Disney World (and that’s always super fun!). But on the other hand, I’ve been super sick for the past week and a half (I’m still feeling a little under the weather but I’m definitely doing better than I was last week). Sickness aside, March was still a super great month! Here are some of the things that made March an amazing month: (Don’t forget to comment down below how your March went and what things made you smile this month! I LOVE hearing from you guys about what makes you happy!):
As many of you already know, I LOVE the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival! I’ve said this on the blog before but the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival is absolutely breathtaking and I think it’s something ALL Disney lovers should experience in person (honestly, you don’t even have to be a huge Disney fan to appreciate all the beauty the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival has to offer!). This was my second time/year visiting the festival and it did not disappoint! I really loved all of the new topiaries they added this year (I’m so happy they FINALLY added a Figment topiary) and I also loved getting to sample all of the yummy food that the festival had to offer.
If you follow me on Instagram (I shared this on my IG stories) or Twitter, then you might know that on Wednesday I won tickets to go see Hamilton and the seats were, I kid you not, SECOND ROW Orchestra (in the dead center!). Basically there’s this thing called the “Hamilton Lottery” and each night that there’s a Hamilton performance, you can enter to win one of the forty-four (44) $10 lottery seats to that nights performance. Winners are announced at 2pm (via email) and you have one hour to claim your seat or it goes to someone else. Seat locations are at the discretion of the box office but somehow, I lucked out and got SECOND ROW seats (for $10?!!). This was my second time seeing Hamilton (and my first time winning the Hamilton Lottery) and it was JUST as amazing, if not better, than the first time I saw it! I LOVED being so close to stage. I could literally see the cast spitting and sweating (I know that sounds weird but it was so awesome!). Talk about a great early birthday present/random surprise (and I’m seeing Hamilton AGAIN in July!).
Here’s a few other things that made me happy in March:
- I got Lollapalooza tickets for the third year in a row (I can’t wait for August!).
- I saw Beauty and the Beast (although, as I stated on the blog already, I wasn’t a huge fan of it. Don’t get me wrong, it was cute/good but it didn’t live up to my expectations).
- Spending a few days at Universal Orlando (the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is starting to become a such a second home as Disney at this point!).
- I got to go to a Steve Harvey show taping (it was so much fun!).
- I got to (finally) participate in the Disney World Eggstravaganza Easter Egg Hunt (stay tuned for that post!).
- SPRING!
I can’t believe tomorrow is April?! What made you happy in March?
