Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo (C2E2) 2017

April 24, 2017

Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo
Happy Monday! Man, I had such a blast last week! First of all, last Monday (April 17) was my birthday (and my mom surprised me with the BEST present ever: a Disney Cruise) and then I spent the weekend (April 21-23) at one of my favorite events here in Chicago: the Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo (aka C2E2!). For those of you who aren’t familiar with C2E2 (or didn’t check out my C2E2 2016 recap), C2E2 is a Chicago fan convention dedicated to comics, pop culture, graphic novels, anime, manga, video games, toys, movies, and television. So essentially, it’s similar to other “comic cons” but it’s more pop culture and entertainment based (which I love)! If you’ve check out my past C2E2 or New York Comic Con recaps then you already knew how much I love events like this and how I look forward to these events all year long. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera (honestly, I just didn’t feel like lugging it around) on Friday and Sunday so I don’t have that many photos (whoops) but regardless, here are a few of my favorite photos from C2E2 2017:Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo
I’ve been obsessed with UP lately (it’s seriously one of the cutest movies ever) so of course I was drawn to this adorable Russell and Carl figurine.Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo 2017
How cute is this t-shirt? Loki is definitely one of my favorite Marvel villains (Magneto is my all-time fav)! Why else do you think I named my dog after him (it also doesn’t help that I LOVE Tom Hiddleston!).Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo
One of my favorite things about events like C2E2 (and Comic Con) is all of the amazing handmade merchandise for sell that people literally put their heart and souls into! I was really impressed with these adorable little pop culture coin purses (the Ursula one was especially cute!).Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo
Speaking of amazing handmade merchandise, how freaking awesome are this little dolls? It took everything in me not to buy that Rey doll (the Doctor Who dolls were super adorable too!).Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo Cosplay Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo Cosplay Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo Cosplay

Does it get any cuter than Ewok cosplay?Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo Cosplay Disney Cosplay
Although I LOVE seeing all kinds of cosplay, nothing excites me more than Disney cosplay!Disney Cosplay
There was so much awesome Disney cosplay but I think this group might have been my favorite (I think it has to do with the fact that I’m OBSESSED with Moana right now!).image8image10image11
Narwhals + ice cream = everything! Seriously, these little plushies were made for me! Fun fact: my favorite animals are monkeys, dogs, unicorns (yes, unicorns are real animals), sloths and narwhals! image12
While we’re on the topic of sloths, how cute is that little sloth plushie! I seriously almost bought one in every color (they also came in pink and blue)!image18
I fell in love with these little bows as soon as I saw the (I loved the Disney, Pokemon and Harry Potter themed ones!). image13
As I was walking around C2E2 I noticed this long line in the middle of the entrance and I figured it was to get wristbands for a panel or to get a certain persons autograph but nope, the line was to buy Booty-O’s! I couldn’t stop laughing when I saw the line of eager customers waiting to get a box of cereal.

Speaking of getting wristbands for panels, there were so may amazing panels at C2E2 this year. My favorite panel/event had to be the Championships of Cosplay! It was so exciting to see so much amazing cosplay (and talented cosplayers) on one stage! I also loved getting to meet some of the cast of Stranger Things (Millie Bobby Brown was particularly adorable), Evanna Lynch (aka Luna Lovegood) and Stan Lee! All in all it was a great three days! See you next year C2E2!
