The New Potbelly App + Trying The New Turkey Fresco Sandwich

Happy Wednesday! I can’t believe we’re halfway through another week? I swear April is just flying by, which is a-okay in my book since that means there’s only 12 days left until my birthday (hooray!). I can’t wait for my birthday to finally get here since I’ve been craving birthday cake for the past two weeks now. Speaking of cravings, have you ever just woke up one day and randomly starting craving a certain kind of food? I swear it happens to me at least once a week! One minute it’s crepes (I can’t believe that this time last year I was heading to Paris for the first time ever) and then it’s violet lemonade (gosh, I miss the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival so much!). Well, last weekend I woke up with a sudden craving for my favorite one stop sandwich shop: Potbelly!
I’d been dying to try the new Turkey Fresco Sandwich (um slow-roasted turkey topped with spinach, roasted red peppers AND basil mayo? Yes please) from Potbelly ever since a friend of mine told me how delicious it was! Since my local Potbelly tends to get a little crowded on the weekends, I decided to try out the new Potbelly app and place my order ahead of time. With the new Potbelly app, you are able to jump the line and pick up your order as soon as you arrive (which definitely saves a lot of time!).
As soon as I walked into Potbelly and saw the Turkey Fresco sign, I got even more excited (seriously, how yummy does that sandwich look!).
As expected, it was super busy at Potbelly but since I used the Potbelly app and ordered ahead of time, I was able to jump the line and pick up my sandwich right away (talk about convenience!).
The Turkey Fresco sandwich was super yummy! It had a little bit of a kick/spiciness to it (I’m guessing that had a lot to do with the basil mayo and red peppers), which I really liked.
You can’t go to Potbelly and NOT get either a smoothie or a milkshake (or in my case, both!). Potbelly hands down makes the BEST chocolate milkshakes. Seriously, they are AMAZING! I’m also a huge fan of their mixed berry smoothies.
Along with my Turkey Fresco sandwich, I also ordered my go-to Potbelly meal, a turkey breast on multigrain bread with cheese, mayo, lettuce and avocado! I don’t know about you but in my book, EVERYTHING tastes better with avocado.
