Dining at Satu’li Canteen in Pandora | Walt Disney World

Pandora – The World of Avatar
Happy Tuesday! I JUST got back from an impromptu trip to Disney World (last minute trips are always my favorite) and boy was it amazing (as always!). One of my favorite things about Disney is that no matter how many times I visit (which, trust me, is a lot! In the past two years alone I’ve visited 20+ times), there’s always something new to see and explore.

This trip I was super exited to finally be able to visit Pandora – The World of Avatar, which is the newest land at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Although I’m not the biggest Avatar fan (I think the film was a visual masterpiece and I’m glad I got to experience it in IMAX 3D when it first came out but story wise, it was a little forgettable in my opinion), I thought that Pandora was breathtaking and a definite must see! Trust me, you do not have to be an Avatar fan to be able to appreciate all the beauty Pandora has to offer!

Speaking of things Pandora has to offer, along with getting to experience the two new rides in Pandora, I was really excited to try out some of the new Avatar-inspired food during my visit!Pandora – The World of AvatarSatu'li Canteen

The Satu’li Canteen is a fast casual (meaning no reservations required) restaurant where you can indulge in the art and culture of the Na’vi while dining inside a giant mess hall.

Not only did I love the theming of Satu’li Canteen but I loved the fact that were was an abundance of seating, both inside and outside! If you frequent the Disney Parks then you know that finding a place to sit at fast causal or quick service restaurant isn’t always the easiest. So I’m glad that Satu’li Canteen had plenty of room to accommodate lots of guests.

Prior to dinning at Satu’li Canteen I had heard a ton of mixed reviews about which meal was the best, the Satu’li Bowl or the Cheeseburger Steamed Pods, so I decided to try them both out!

Satu'li Canteen Disney World Pandoran Sunrise

I highly recommend giving the Pandoran Sunrise a try! It’s a refreshing balance of Tropical Juices blended with Powerade® Melon and it was so delicious.

Satu'li Canteen Chopped Wood-Grilled Chicken Bowl

With the Satu’li Bowl you have to choose a protein, a base and a sauce. I decided to go with the Chopped Wood-Grilled Chicken Bowl with mixed whole grain and rice and creamy herb dressing! It was really yummy and I loved that you’re able to customize your bowl however you’d like! I think I’m going to try the Slow-Roasted Sliced Grilled Beef Bowl (as my protein) when I visit Disney World again in August.

Cheeseburger Steamed Pods - Bao Buns Pandora

As soon as Pandora opened and I started seeing pictures all over Instagram and Twitter of the Cheeseburger Steamed Pods – Bao Buns, I knew I had to try them! They just looked so interesting!

Cheeseburger Steamed Pods - Bao Buns

The Cheeseburger Steamed Pods – Bao Buns are steamed Cheeseburger Pods stuffed with Ground Beef, Ketchup, Mustard, Pickle, and Cheddar Cheese! Honestly, I didn’t know how I’d feel about these steamed pods but I LOVED them! In fact, I preferred them over the Satu’li Bowl. They literally tasted exactly like a McDonald’s cheeseburger (which is a good thing by the way!).

Pandora Blueberry Cream Cheese Mousse

Of course no meal is complete without a little dessert! Although the Blueberry Cream Cheese Mousse was adorable, I wasn’t a huge fan of it but to be fair, I don’t like cream cheese or cheesecake.

Seriously how cute is that dessert? If only I liked cream cheese!
