Exploring The Great Outdoors With Your Pooch

Exploring The Great Outdoors With Your Pooch (& Milk-Bone)
With the winter weather melting away, Loki has been overjoyed to be outside again! Luckily, unlike the east coast and rest of the midwest, Chicago hasn’t been experiencing random cold fronts or snowfall. (The worst we’ve had so far is a few rainy days!). One of my favorite things about spring (besides the fact that it’s my birthday season) is the gorgeous weather.

Loki LOVES the fresh air and playing outside so I always feel a little guilty in the winter because he can’t be outside as much as he’d like too. (Although, Loki does love playing in the snow!). Whether you’re just taking your dog on a walk, going hiking, visiting the dog park or just playing fetch, it’s important that your dog stays in tip-top shape and feeling their best!

Here are a few tips for conquering the great outdoors with your pooch:

1. Make Sure Your Dog Is In Good Physical Condition.

Before embarking on any outdoor adventure, always make sure your dog is in tip-top shape and feeling their best!

Milk-Bone Good Morning Daily Vitamin Treats are one of my go to’s for making sure Loki leads a more healthy, happy, and comfortable life! Each morning I give Loki one of the ‘Healthy Skin & Coat’ Milk-Bone Good Morning Daily Vitamin Treats. They’re made with B vitamins, to help promote healthy skin and a shiny coat. They also contain beneficial omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants to help support total body health.

2. Check Park Regulations.

Whether you’re visiting your local park or your favorite hiking trail, make sure to check what that area’s regulations are when it comes to your pup!

3. Always Make Sure Your Dog Has Proper Identification.

You see that adorable Mickey on Loki’s collar? Sure it’s cute, but it’s also there to make sure if anything were to happen to Loki, people would be able to identify him and know who to contact. In case your dog gets lost, make sure their ID tag is properly secured to a collar that won’t slip off.

4. Always Pick Up After Your Dog.

This one should be a no brainer, but seriously, it’s your duty (get it?) to always pick up after your pooch. Most parks even supply doggie bags, so there’s no excuse!

5.  Bring On The Treats.

Loki LOVES to go hiking so I always make sure to pack him a few treats. Your dog will get hungry on the trail, so it’s always helpful to pack some food or treats for your journey. Even if we just go to the park or out for a walk, I always like to give Loki a treat or two after any outdoor adventure!

As most of you know, Meijer is my go-to shop when it comes to Loki. Not only is it super convenient distance wise (since I live less than 10 minutes away) but I love that I can pick up Loki’s food, toys, grooming products and treats all at one place!

Another thing I love about Meijer? All of the awesome deals I get via MPerks! You won’t want to miss this MPerks offer: Save 1$ on any Milk-Bone Advanced Care product for up to $3 in savings. Offer valid through 4/28/2018!

Along with his Milk-Bone Good Morning Vitamins, Loki also loves his Milk-Bone Advanced Care Brushing Chews!

The Milk-Bone Advanced Care Brushing Chews, which are as effective as brushing, helps clean even hard to reach back teeth and down to the gum line. Thanks to Milk-Bone, I know that Loki is leading a more healthy, happy, and comfortable life! I can’t wait to see what outdoor adventures this spring brings us!
