Happy Friday you guys! I am SO crazy behind in sharing my travel posts. No seriously, I’m WAY behind. I’ve only shared one post from my trip to Canada (which was back in June) and I have like five more to share! There’s a fun Chicago themed travel post that I still need to share. And I also have a bunch of Disney Cruise posts to share. (I had such a blast on my second Disney Cruise and I have lots of new tips and tricks to share!).
So today I decided to share a fun Disney Cruise themed post: Ideas For Decorating Your Stateroom Door! This is kind of a “part two” to THIS POST, in which I shared different tips for decorating your stateroom door. While we are on the subject of Disney Cruises, make sure to check out my Fish Extenders 101 post and THIS POST, which talks all about Vanellope’s Sweets and Treats.
Now onto the post!
I just want to apologize in advance for the “non-high quality photos” in this post. Admittedly, I didn’t carry my camera around while on the cruise (expect for special occasions, but more on that later), so I just snapped these pictures with my phone. Whenever I was exploring the ship and saw a cute stateroom door, and if I had my phone on me (which I didn’t often since there’s no service on the ship), I’d snap a quick picture!
I’ll start off with MY stateroom door! This trip we just decorated the door with the Minnie magnets we bought on our first Disney Cruise, our Fish Extender (learn all about Fish Extenders HERE), a dry erase board and some lollipops!
I had this huge bag of over 100 Disney themed lollipops, so I decided to share them with my fellow cruisers. It was so fun seeing people come up to our door to grab a quick treat and it was definitely a great conversation starter!
(Also can we talk about how the princess dry erase board, which I found at Dollar Tree, wasn’t magnetic so I had to improvise with clips!).
(Also, ignore my chicken scratch handwriting).
This was one of my favorite staterooms doors! This adorable couple, who recently got married, were apart of my Fish Extender group and they were so lovely! They were from Tokyo and even brought everyone gifts from Tokyo Disneyland (you guys, I legit cried!).
I love that their door was decorated with a little banner of Disney characters (which they made themselves) and Polaroid’s from their actual wedding (which Duffy attended!) Wishing you two nothing but happiness and the best of luck!
If you know me than you know that I LOVE holiday’s! Heck, I started decorating for fall in August and I often start decorating for Christmas in October. (Don’t judge me, if I could keep up my Christmas tree all year long I would!).
I loved that even though it was summer, this family was already counting down until Christmas (because same!).
Beauty and the Beast is my favorite Disney film and Belle is my favorite princess so it was cool seeing a full door length version of her on someones stateroom door.
Sometimes simplicity goes a long way. I love how this family made their own DIY magnets featuring their, or what I suppose is, favorite characters as tsum tsums.
And sometimes you’ve got to say “screw simplicity!”. It seriously looks like someone throw up Disney all over this stateroom door and I am LIVING for it! This family was like “I don’t want too see an inch of the door left uncovered!.”
Here’s a close up of the stateroom door!
This door belonged to another family in our Fish Extender group. How cute is it that they repped their hometown with the Mickey Lakers magnet!
The little banner going across the stateroom door is so adorable. I thought that was a cute little touch.
I really loved the fact that this door was decorated with different Disney passholder magnets!
This was by far one of my favorite doors! I passed this stateroom door every day, since it was right across from my stateroom, and I just loved it so much. It’s simple yet adorable.
