This post is sponsored by Cuddl Duds but the content and opinions expressed here are my own. It’s that time of year again. You know, the one where the sun sets before 5pm. No really, yesterday here in Chicago the sun set at 4:45pm! And then today, for like 15 minutes, it snowed! SNOWED! The first snow of the season. I guess fall and winter really is upon us!
(Loki’s super happy though, he loves snow and so do I!).
I love Chicago with all my heart, cold weather and all! I grew up here and so over the years I’ve become used to the fall and winter weather. Personally, I prefer the cold weather. Crazy right? (You all know about my dislike for summer, team cold weather all the way!). But I know everyone isn’t like me and they’d prefer to stay warm all year round.
Here’s four simple hacks for staying warm during the fall and winter:
1. Throw your PJ’s (and clothes) in the dryer! Putting your pajamas, regular clothes, or even socks in the dryer for a few minutes before putting them on makes all the difference, trust me! There’s nothing like putting on nice warm PJ’s before snuggling up in your bed.
2. Invest in a heated blanket! Speaking of your bed, heated blankets are a must for late fall/winter!
3. Layers, layers, layers! It’s so important to bundle up during this season! (Especially now that it’s starting to snow). Cuddl Duds are my new secret for staying warm and stylish. I love how versatile they are, especially for the fall and winter months. My personal favorite pieces are the Cuddl Duds Softwear Stretch Cowl-Neck Tunic, the Double Plush Velour leggings and the Fleecewear with Stretch Wrap. But honestly, I’m in love with the entire Cuddl Duds line!
Loki was so excited that it snowed a little today (he loves snow). And I was super excited to be rocking my gray Double Plush Velour Wide-Waistband Leggings! They’re so comfortable and they keep me nice and warm.
Does this weather make anyone else want to bundle up in their Cuddl Duds, grab a record and listen to music while sipping hot cocoa? I seriously love this time of year!
4. Don’t forget your hat and gloves! Even though we’re known as the windy city because for our politics not our weather, it is still pretty windy here in Chicago! Once November hits, you won’t catch me outside without a scarf, hat or gloves, especially when on I’m the train at 6am heading to work.
