Two posts in ONE week?! Say whhhaaaat? Today, I wanted to share a few (no really, I only took a handful) of the photos I took while in DC last weekend (Friday & Saturday). Even though technically the photo above was taken in Maryland, not DC, but let’s just ignore that.
I’m so happy to be back in the swing of consistent blogging. (Yay me!). I’m still a little behind on some Disney Cruise and other travel related posts, but I’m trying to take things one day at a time. (Or one post at a time!).
Here’s a few snapshots from my weekend in DC:
One of my FAVORITE meals is brunch! (I mean breakfast + lunch foods?! How can you bet that?). On the first day of my DC trip I had brunch at Union Market. I’d been to Union Market before but the last time I went the one place I really wanted to try, On Toast, was closed. So during this visit I made sure to make it my mission to finally try the avocado toast from On Toast.
There were so many yummy options but in the end I went with the eggs, cheese and bacon toast and added on half an avocado. It was AMAZING! (I also had some of the BEST strawberry lemonade I’ve ever tasted!).
On the second day of my DC trip I had brunch at Uncle Julio’s! I love Uncle Julio’s so much (but I only eat there for brunch honestly). The breakfast tacos are my favorite. And the table-side guacamole of course.
It wouldn’t be a trip to DC without visiting a museum or two. The photos above are from the National Museum of American History.
I also briefly visited the National Museum of African American History and Culture during my trip. You can check out a full recap of the National Museum of African American History and Culture from my trip in 2017 HERE.
If you checked out Monday’s post (you can check it out HERE) then you already know that I visited both Georgetown cupcake and Sprinkles while in DC.
Hey look, more food! Since I was in DC to hang out with two of my best friends, I wanted to “live in the moment” and not take so many photos. (Plus I’ve been to DC so many times that I’ve practically taken photos of just about everything!).
See you again real soon DC!
