Happy Wednesday! While I was visiting Philadelphia last weekend, I finally got the opportunity to try Le Pain Quotidien! I had been wanting to try this eatery for a while now. There’s a few locations here in Chicago (in fact, there’s one right next to my job downtown) but for some reason I just never had the time to fully check it out. But boy am I glad I finally did because the food was delicious!
Le Pain Quotidien is an international chain of bakery-restaurants. They sell lots of yummy baked goods as well as offer a full dine-in food menu. Although I dined at Le Pain Quotidien for breakfast, lunch and dinner is available there as well. Can I just say that I’m not a “food blogger” and in no way claim to be. BUT recently, I’ve really gotten into food photography. Is it weird that I find food to be “cute”?! Is that normal?!
Either way, Le Pain Quotidien has officially become one of my new breakfast go-to spots!
The calm before the storm. Just kidding, it never really seemed to get crowded at Le Pain Quotidien. Which I loved! (Maybe because I ate there on a Friday morning and most people were at work?! Who knows).
There were so many yummy options at Le Pain Quotidien that I ordered two meals. That’s right, TWO. I mean….breakfast IS the most important meal of the day. Right…right?! (Don’t judge me, I love breakfast food!).
But seriously, I LOVE breakfast food. I could eat breakfast foods for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. Fun fact: although I do love breakfast, brunch is my all-time favorite meal time!
The first thing I ordered was the Breakfast Sandwich. At Le Pain Quotidien this sandwich comes the option to add bacon. I’m not a big bacon fan (don’t shoot me!) so I opted for no bacon.
Perfection on a plate. Also, avocados are the best thing to ever happen to man(and woman)kind. Point blank and the period.
I also ordered the Warm Belgian Waffle with fruit and a side of chocolate sauce.
Just look at that masterpiece! Personally, I prefer french toast over pancakes, waffles and/or Belgian waffles any day of the week. However, this Warm Belgian Waffle was super yummy and satisfying.
All in all, having breakfast at Le Pain Quotidien was the perfect way to start my weekend in Philadelphia. Speaking of Philly, I have three more Philly related posts to share with you guys, so stay tuned!
