Warning, this post isn’t going to be super long. This post is mainly to show my appreciation and gratitude for a little game called Animal Crossing: New Horizons. I’ve been a fan of Animal Crossing since it’s 2001 release but for some reason New Horizons hits different! Well, I know the reason. With everything that’s going on in the world and with the “Shelter in Place”, I’ve found myself in a slight… I don’t want to say depression. I’ve just been feeling antsy and anxious.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons could not have come out at a better time! I find myself playing for hours upon hours each day. It’s such a great escape and it’s so darn fun. It’s so much fun that about three and a half weeks ago I decided to really get into the Animal Crossing community by creating an Animal Crossing IG account.

(And you guys, I just hit 500+ followers!).

Before I get into the IG account, I first wanted to share a few of my favorite photos I’ve taken while playing Animal Crossing. It’s so crazy to look back at some of these photos because in just 3 weeks my island has changed so much!

These photos were taken during my first week of gameplay and it was the first time I had friends over to my island.

I was so happy when my Campsite opened! Back when this photo was taken I only had 3 villagers, now I have 9!

I do not miss the Bunny Day event. (It’s so weird seeing this photo because A) My house looks nothing like that anymore and B) I’ve relocated my house since then).

I miss the cheery blossoms so much.

My two sisters and I! It feels like forever seen I’ve seen my sisters (even though we Facetime daily!). But I love that we are able to hang out thanks to Animal Crossing.

My villagers threw me a party for my birthday last week (April 17). 

I’ve been spending the last few days (when I’m done with work + the weekend), beautifying my island. The first photo is of my dig site + mini garden outside of my museum. The bottom photo is of my turnip farm. My island has a lot of work to do but I’m getting it done slowly but surely.

The animal crossing community has been so amazing. I love being able to trade furniture/things with people, visit new islands and make new friends. When I first started my account (you can follow it HERE), I was shocked that I hit 100 followers within the first week.

Now in week almost 4, I’m at 500+! So I just want to say thank you to Animal Crossing: New Horizons for helping get my spirit up and my mind off things during these unfortunate times.
