You guys?! Do you know what Thursday is? FALL! That’s right, this week is officially fall. FINALLY! Which also means my LEAST favorite time of the year, summer, is finally behind us. YAY! Although, I’ll be in California later this week where there’s a heat wave and it’s 95 degrees so I guess I won’t be escaping the summer weather just yet. BUT, here in Chicago the weather has been so beautiful!
And since it’s (almost) fall, that’s means I can finally start decorating for Halloween!! I am not going to lie to you guys…I took these photos back in late Julyish(?) but have waited to post them. I know a lot of people don’t start decorating for fall/Halloween until late September/October but not me! As most of you may know I LOVE holidays so I try to extend them for as long as possible. I like to get almost 2 months worth of the holiday. So for Halloween I start decorating on September 1. That way my decor is up from September – October 31.
And for Christmas I start decorating on November 1 so I get a little under two months of having that decor up. I know that’s not everyone’s cup of tea but it works for me. The longer I get to have my holiday decor up, the happier my mood is! And speaking of holiday decor…
Here’s a look at this years Halloween Decor at HomeGoods!

I already have way too many Halloween/seasonal blankets so I didn’t need any more but this little ghost dog was super cute!
I thought ghost were suppose to be scary? Why are these so adorable? I needed up buying the “spooky” sign on the righthand side of the second photo.
I was on the lookout for the infamous ghost pillows and a few people have been saying they were in the toy section (and not with the pillows) but I didn’t have any luck finding them.
I was so tempted to buy Loki something but he has way too many toys already. But I did love that even pets have their own cute little Halloween section.
You can never have to many cute holiday mugs, am I right?
We decorate the outside of our house every year for Christmas but this will be our first time decorating for Halloween. HomeGoods had a lot of cute outdoor decor. I ended up purchasing the four stacked pumpkin thing (statue?!).
I bought this little guy for my bathroom (should I do a bathroom tour? I decorated my bathroom for Halloween and it actually turned out pretty cute!) sink. It’s so adorable.
@ Me!
Quick side note. Anyone who knows me knows that I HATE cats. Personally, I think they are evil. Maybe I’ve seen to many episodes of that one show “My cat from hell” but cats have always given me bad vibes. BUT all of a sudden I’ve finding myself…liking (!?!) cats. I’m actually thinking about fostering one. It’s a long story but I’ve been thinking about it for a while now.
I ended up picking up a ton of cute decor from HomeGoods! I might do a little house/office/bedroom/bathroom/kitchen tour maybe? So I can show you guys how I ended up decorating everything.
I am just so excited fall is finally here!
