Anything’s Possible® Music Series + Janelle Monáe

July 12, 2014

*Special thanks to the Illinois Lottery for inviting me to partake in their Anything’s Possible® Music Series*
Navy Pier Chicago
When the Illinois Lottery invited me to a ‘floating concert’ and to cover Janelle Monáe’s Taste of Chicago performance, I of course said yes! I’m always up for a good concert and a boat ride through the beautiful city of Chicago. I’ve never been to a floating concert before so I was very curious about how the whole thing was going to play out. Upon boarding Shoreline Sightseeing’s “The Star of Chicago,” I was greeted with amazing tunes from local cover band, 28 Days,  for an hour-long tour complete with amazing food, music and breathtaking views! Simply Sinova Takes Miami: Day 2

June 29, 2014

Fontainebleau Miami Beach Hotel
Miami, you’re AMAZING! This city is so colorful, diverse and full of life! I couldn’t have asked for a better weekend. The iHeartRadio Ultimate Pool Party concluded last night with performances by Neon Trees, Nick Cannon (yes, Nick Cannon), MAGIC! and Jennifer Lopez (aka JLO!)

Neon Trees were up first! If you didn’t know, I LOVE Neon Trees! They have such a unique sound and style about them. They opened the second day of the Ultimate Pool Party with their new hit single “Sleeping with a Friend” (which, if you follow my Monday’s Music posts, is one of my most played songs right now!) I’ve got to say Tyler Glenn is an AWESOME human being! He has enough spark and spunkiness to go around! In between each song he would go on a little rant/banter with the audience (we’re soul mates). I really love when artists talk and interact with the crowd, it makes the concert that much better! Neon Trees also sung “Animal,” “Everybody Talks,” and “Love in the 21st Century.” I’m seriously looking forward to seeing Neon Trees in concert again, I HIGHLY recommend it!

Simply Sinova Takes Miami: Day 1

June 28, 2014

*This post is sponsored by VISIT FLORIDA. I am super excited to announce that I am currently in Miami covering the iHeartRadio Ultimate Pool Party on behalf of VISIT FLORIDA! This is by far one of the greatest opportunities that has come my way via blogging and I couldn’t be more grateful and excited for this experience.*

Although I’ve been to Florida (mostly Orlando and Kissimmee) a bunch of times, this is my first time visiting the beautiful city of Miami. If you ask me, I couldn’t think of a better way to experience Miami than by staying at the famous Fontainebleau Miami Beach hotel and attending a music festival! That music festival is, of course, the iHeartRadio Ultimate Pool Party. This year’s party is bigger than ever with not one, but TWO nights of amazing performances from chart topping artists Jennifer Lopez, Neon Trees, Tiësto, Ariana Grande, Iggy Azalea, Lil Jon, and MAGIC! Seven hit artists, two amazing nights, one beautiful city, let the party begin!

American Authors, Fitz and The Tantrums & More

May 3, 2014

Zac Barnett American Authors
Last night I got to see American Authors live and it was AMAZING! Their energy was really awesome and they sounded great! I was super happy because they sang my four favorite songs: (I excluded ‘Best Day of my Life’ since that is pretty obvious) ‘Luck,’ ‘Believer,’ ‘Oh,What A Life,’ and ‘Love.’ They basically sang their entire Oh, What A Life album! Sorry in advance for the photo overload, I actually took 95 photos (yikes) and picked out my favorites!  Continue reading

Lana Del Rey 2013 Lollapalooza After Show Performance

August 3, 2013

Lana-Del-Rey-2013-Lollapalooza-Perfomance-
It’s August and for Chicago that means Lollapalooza time! The music festival, which hosts over 200,000 people over a three-day period and features popular alternative rock, indie, punk rock, and hip hop artists, has finally begun!
Thursday, I was lucky enough to see one of my FAVORITE artists perform at The House Of Blues: Lana Del Rey. I’ve been a Lana fan for years but over the last 8 months I’ve gone from loving her to being a tad bit obsessed (can you blame me??)
