#100HappyDays(Day 91-100)

June 23, 2014

100 Happy Days
I can’t believe this exciting chapter in my life has ended! Saturday, June 21, 2014, my #100HappyDaysChallenge reached day 100. I started this challenge March 13, 2014, when it was still technically winter. That means this challenge lasted over three seasons! It’s crazy, when I started this challenge it was during the spring break of my senior year (although it didn’t officially become spring until later that week) and now I’ve graduated college! I was also 21 when this challenge started and now I’m 22. I guess a lot can happen in 100 days. I feel so different from the girl who sat in RPM and decided she finally wanted to do a photo challenge. On that day, March 13, I decided that it was time to make a change. I decided that I would no longer dwell on the past or worry about the future but instead, I would appreciate life one day at a time. Joining the #100HappyDays challenge was one of the best decisions of my life. Since starting this challenge, I find joy literally everywhere. This challenge has changed my life in more ways than I could ever describe. I HIGHLY encourage everyone to partake in their own #100HappyDays challenge.

#100HappyDays(Day 82-90)

June 16, 2014

Can you be happy 100 days straight?  Here’s what made me happy this week:

6/3/14: Flower Shopping Take 3. I think it’s safe to say that Tulips have officially become my favorite thing ever. I always thought flowers were pretty but I never really cared about them. I thought they were too much work. I’ve been doing a lot of research and I’ve discovered that Tulips do best in areas with dry summers and cold winters. Argo, Tulips are perfect Chicago plants!

#100HappyDays(Day 74-81)

June 7, 2014

Can you be happy 100 days straight?  Here’s what made me happy this week:
5/25/14: Flower Shopping. I have fallen in love with flowers, especially tulips, and it has become my mission to become a flower expert now! Well not so much an expert, I just want to be able to keep them alive for more than a week.

5/26/14: Lemonade. My family (mostly my mom) is obsessed with Whole Foods Strawberry lemonade.  We have to stock up constantly.

5/27/14: Flower Shopping Part Two. I could spends hours looking at flowers (mostly tulips!) My favorite color is purple!
5/28/14: Cinnabon. It’s been so long since I’ve had Cinnabon. I’ve had the mini ones recently but it’s been a while since I’ve had the actual large juicy ones! Let’s just say it was a grand reunion.

5/29/14: Ice Cream. My favorite soft served ice cream is definitely chocolate and vanilla swirl from The Patio.
5/30/14: HAIM. I found this awesome record while out on my weekly vinyl hunts! I didn’t buy it because it was seriously over priced but I’m thinking about ordering it online.

5/31/14: Daily Bike Rides. Daily visits to my favorite bike/jogging trail is a summer tradition. There’s nothing more peaceful than biking.
6/1/14: It’s JUNE! I can’t believe it’s already June! I have SO MUCH planned this month! I’ve deemed this summer the “summer of traveling”! I have so many trips and adventures planned.

6/2/14: Potbelly. I have a love/hate relationship with this particular sandwich shop. Sometimes the food is AMAZING and other times it’s down right nasty! Thankfully this trip was one of those amazing times!
I can’t believe there are only 19 days left in this challenge! Be sure to check out days 1-73 of my #100HappyDays Challenge HERE

#100HappyDays(Day 65-73)

May 28, 2014

Can you be happy 100 days straight?  Here’s what made me happy this week:
5/16/14: Judd. I miss this little guy so much. I know that he’ll find his forever home soon! His favorite thing to do was take naps in the grass.

5/17/14: Whole Foods Date. My family goes to whole foods at least once a week to have lunch. Every time we go we joke that we’re on a ‘whole foods date’ since it can get a little pricey.
5/18/14: Record Shopping. After visiting several record stores, I still wasn’t able to find The Black Keys Turn Blue vinyl so I ended up ordering it online. It should be here this week!
5/19/14: Getting Organized. I’ve had a lot on my plate recently and I was starting to fill a little disorganized. I decided to get three Rifle Paper Co. journals to help better organize my daily duties. One journal is for writing down ideas for Simply Sinova, one is for mapping out articles for the three sites I’m a contributing writer for and the last one is to jot down ideas for a top secret project I’m working on!
5/20/14: Deep Dish Pizza. Deep dish pepperoni pizza is my absolute favorite thing! I could eat it every day! Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria (where this pizza is from) and Pizzeria Due are my top two favorite pizza places.
5/21/14: TopShop. A little shopping never hurt anybody, right?
5/22/14: Tea for Two. Anyone who knows me knows I don’t really like tea but Argo Tea Cafe is one of my favorite places to visit for a quick snack.
5/23/14: My Mom’s Birthday. How adorable are these chocolate covered strawberries my mom got for her birthday?!
5/24/14: X Men. Days of Future Past was sold out opening day so we waited until Saturday to see it! It got mixed reviews within my family but I personally liked it! Nothing will ever compare to X2 but it was still fun seeing my favorite mutants!

#100HappyDays (Day 56-64)

May 16, 2014

Can you be happy 100 days straight?  Here’s what made me happy this week:
5/7/14: Chicago. After four long years in college, I’m finally back in my hometown Chicago. I ‘m so happy I went away for school because it really made be appreciate how beautiful my city is!

5/8/14: Dinner. One of the things I missed most about being home was quality bonding time with my mom! We often bond over food and TV.
Chi Tung
5/9/14: Surprise Mail. I woke up on Friday with a package from BuzzFeed! I love getting mail but this was probably the best thing I’ve ever gotten! Check out what they sent me here.

5/10/14: Shopping. When picking out polishes for manicures, I usually lean toward Essie or OPI but I’m really loving the new 80s rewind collection from Deborah Lippmann.

5/11/14: Mother’s Day. My mom loves chocolate covered strawberries but since her birthday is next week and she already has two orders of Shari’s Berries coming her way, she decided on Cheesecake for Mother’s Day.

5/12/14: Unpacking and Relaxing. Although I love exploring the city, I also like staying in and catching up on my favorite shows. So after a few job interviews, I decided to stay in and start unpacking my stuff from college.Polaroid flowers
5/13/14: Museum of Contemporary Art. One of my favorite things about Chicago is its museums. I have been to each museum dozens of times but they still amaze me every visit. Check out the full trip here.
5/14/14: Sprinkles Cupcakes. I had to pick up a few Margarita cupcakes since they are Cinco De Mayo specialties and only available in May. Next to lemon, Margarita is my favorite flavor.

5/15/14: Judd! This is the second summer that I’ve been a foster parent for Chicago Paws. My first foster sons’ name is Judd. He’s a 11 week old Lab mix and he’s a hoot!
