Happy Friday aka happy Beauty and the Beast live-action release day (and also happy St. Paddy’s day)! Speaking of Beauty and the Beast, I saw it last night and I’m not really sure how I feel about it yet. Since Beauty and the Beast is my FAVORITE movie, I already knew that I’d be more critical (and constantly comparing it to the animated version) than the average viewer. Although I really did like the humor, the new characters and the fact that the live-action version covered a lot of plot holes that the animated one didn’t, it was the songs/singing that was a little lack luster to me (I mean the music is what makes BATB, in my opinion!).
Also, here’s a little fun fact for you all: my birthday is in EXACTLY one month (aka April 17th!). That means in exactly one month I’ll be 25?! It’s crazy because it seems like yesterday I was celebrating my 24th birthday at Disneyland Paris (which by the way, was one of the BEST birthdays EVER!). While we’re on the topic of Disney, whenever I visit the Disney parks, I always make it my mission to try and eat at at least one new restaurant.
Whether it be somewhere in the parks that I’ve never tried before or at somewhere in Downtown Disney (if I’m visiting Disneyland) or Disney Springs (if I’m visiting Disney World). With the recent expansion of Disney Springs last year, I’ve come across so many new eateries that I’ve been itching to try out (because who doesn’t love food?).
During my most recent trip to Disney World last week, I decided to finally give Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ a try (after reading and hearing so any AWESOME reviews about it!). Continue reading
Happy Friday (raise your hand if you’re excited that it’s finally the weekend!). Today I’m back with another Disney Restaurant Review (I have so much fun with these posts)! Since I’m heading to Disneyland next week (I’m so excited), I thought “what better time to share another Disney Restaurant Review?” I know I’ve said this many times on the blog before but one of my favorite things about visiting the Disney Parks is the FOOD! While most people probably associate Disney with other amusement parks and think it’s all about the rides, us Disney Parks lovers know the truth. Disney is SO much more than just rides. What makes a visit to the Disney Parks so magical is the Disney atmosphere itself and that atmosphere consists of the rides, parades, shows, fireworks, shopping and of course, the FOOD! Happy Friday (raise your hand if you’re excited that it’s finally the weekend!). Today, I’m back with another Disney Restaurant Review (I have so much fun with these posts)! Although I’m heading to Disney World for TWO WEEKS in August and then again in September (for the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival), I won’t be visiting Disneyland again until October (for Halloween). It’s been so long since I’ve visited Disneyland (okay, it’s only been five months and I realize that isn’t that long but for someone like me, who visits the Disney Parks basically every month, it seems like a lifetime) and I miss it so much! So, to get over the Disneyland blues I’ve been experiencing lately, today’s post is all about breakfast at Flo’s V8 Café (because breakfast is the most important meal of the day, am I right?)! Carsland is definitely one of my favorite aspects of California Adventure and no trip to Carsland is complete without a visit to Flo’s V8 Café (and a ride on Radiator Springs Racers of course!). Well, it is officially the end of an era. As of Monday (May 23), my Disney Premier Passport is no longer active. Meaning, I am no longer an annual passholder to Disneyland OR Disney World (although, I’m still a Disneyland Paris annual passholder until April 2017 so that’s awesome). I still can’t believe how fast time flew by. When I first purchased my Disney Premier Passport back in May 2015 (during the kickoff of the Disneyland 60th Anniversary Diamond Celebration), I could have never imagined that I would have visited the Disney Parks TEN times in just 12 months (especially since I live in Chicago/nowhere near the Disney Parks). But since I LOVE Disney and it’s such a huge part of my life, I made it my priority to visit whenever I could (I actually plan on writing a “pros of being a Disney annual passholder post” soon!). On the bright side, I’m heading back to Disney World in August (where I’ll be becoming a Disney Premier Passport holder again) and I was able to score reservations at Be Our Guest again. Speaking of Beauty and the Beast, have you seen the teaser trailer? Since I’ll be dining at Be Our Guest again (this time for lunch) this summer, I thought today would be the perfect time to talk about my Be Our Guest dinner experience last Christmas. Happy Wednesday! Today, I’m back with another Disney Restaurant Review and boy, is it a good one! That’s right, today’s Disney Restaurant Review is dedicated to the one and only Cafe Orleans (located in New Orleans Square at Disneyland). I’ve talked about this (very) briefly on the blog before but I am OBSESSED with all things New Orleans (in fact, visiting New Orleans is on my 25 before 25 bucket list!). I’m in love with all the food, beauty and culture New Orleans has to offer. I think one of the main reasons I’ve always liked New Orleans (even though I’ve never visited) is because of the similarities it has to my hometown Chicago in respect to jazz music. Needless to say, I just love all things New Orleans. Luckily for me, Disneyland’s New Orleans Square has the perfect amount of “all things New Orleans” to satisfy my NOLA craving (and it also happens to be home to two of my FAVORITE Disney rides: Pirates of the Caribbean and The Haunted Mansion!). Since I frequent the Disney Parks so often, I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to dine at practically every Disney restaurant and if you’re looking for good food, good prices and a charming atmosphere, then look no further than Cafe Orleans!
