Pandora – The World of Avatar
Happy Tuesday! I JUST got back from an impromptu trip to Disney World (last minute trips are always my favorite) and boy was it amazing (as always!). One of my favorite things about Disney is that no matter how many times I visit (which, trust me, is a lot! In the past two years alone I’ve visited 20+ times), there’s always something new to see and explore. This trip I was super exited to finally be able to visit Pandora – The World of Avatar, which is the newest land at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Although I’m not the biggest Avatar fan (I think the film was a visual masterpiece and I’m glad I got to experience it in IMAX 3D when it first came out but story wise, it was a little forgettable in my opinion), I thought that Pandora was breathtaking and a definite must see! Trust me, you do not have to be an Avatar fan to be able to appreciate all the beauty Pandora has to offer! Speaking of things Pandora has to offer, along with getting to experience the two new rides in Pandora, I was really excited to try out some of the new Avatar-inspired food during my visit! Easter Egg Hunt Egg-stravaganza at Epcot | Walt Disney World

Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival
Last month while I was at Disney World, for the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival, I got to FINALLY cross off something that’s been on my Disney bucket list for the longest time: participate in the easter egg hunt Egg-stravaganza at Epcot! Although I’ve visited Disney World (and Disneyland) plenty of times during the spring in the past, my trips never coincided with when the Easter Egg Hunt Egg-stravaganza was taking place (last year I literally missed it by two weeks!). The Easter Egg Hunt Egg-stravaganza (which takes place in Epcot at Disney World, Disneyland, California Adventure and Downtown Disney) is a fun, egg-themed scavenger hunt (for both kids and adults) where participants search for special hidden Disney themed “eggs” and record their discoveries by placing the corresponding Disney character’s sticker on the specially themed Egg-stravaganza map to represent that location.  Continue reading

Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival | Disney World

Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival
Long time no see! I feel like it’s been forever since I’ve blogged (okay, it’s only been a week but that’s a long time in the blogging world!). I don’t know if there’s just something in the air but I’ve been crazy sick lately (some of you may or may not recall that I had a bad case of pneumonia not to long ago!). No really, I literally spent 85% of last week in bed surrounded by the piles of medicine my doctor gave me (hence the lack of blog updates!). I don’t know about you but I HATE being sick (especially since it doesn’t happen to me that often!). Whenever I’m really sick all I want to do is lay in bed, watch tv and sleep (which doesn’t sound all that bad but it definitely doesn’t help me be productive in anyway!). It’s crazy to think that not just three weeks ago, I was roaming around sunny Florida (although it was unseasonably cool) enjoying the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival! I’ve said this before but the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival is absolutely breathtaking and I think it’s something ALL Disney lovers should experience in person (honestly, you don’t even have to be a huge Disney fan to appreciate all the beauty the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival has to offer!). Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ at Disney Springs | Walt Disney World

Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' at Disney Springs
Happy Friday aka happy Beauty and the Beast live-action release day (and also happy St. Paddy’s day)! Speaking of Beauty and the Beast, I saw it last night and I’m not really sure how I feel about it yet. Since Beauty and the Beast is my FAVORITE movie, I already knew that I’d be more critical (and constantly comparing it to the animated version) than the average viewer. Although I really did like the humor, the new characters and the fact that the live-action version covered a lot of plot holes that the animated one didn’t, it was the songs/singing that was a little lack luster to me (I mean the music is what makes BATB, in my opinion!). Also, here’s a little fun fact for you all: my birthday is in EXACTLY one month (aka April 17th!). That means in exactly one month I’ll be 25?! It’s crazy because it seems like yesterday I was celebrating my 24th birthday at Disneyland Paris (which by the way, was one of the BEST birthdays EVER!). While we’re on the topic of Disney, whenever I visit the Disney parks, I always make it my mission to try and eat at at least one new restaurant. Whether it be somewhere in the parks that I’ve never tried before or at somewhere in Downtown Disney (if I’m visiting Disneyland) or Disney Springs (if I’m visiting Disney World). With the recent expansion of Disney Springs last year, I’ve come across so many new eateries that I’ve been itching to try out (because who doesn’t love food?). During my most recent trip to Disney World last week, I decided to finally give Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ a try (after reading and hearing so any AWESOME reviews about it!).  Continue reading

Disney World Haul: Winter 2017

March 13, 2017

Disney World Haul
Happy Monday! It’s a new month, which means it’s time for a new Disney Haul! Since I just got back from Disney World, I thought today would be the perfect time to share some of the souvenirs I picked up while I was at Disney. Speaking of Disney souvenirs, I just realized that I never shared my January Disney Haul (from my last minute trip to Disney World for the first ever Epcot International Festival of the Arts). Whoops. Since it was such a last minute trip (I literally booked my flight a few days before hand) and I didn’t really budget for it, I only picked up two or three Epcot International Festival of the Arts themed items (so I thought a full on “haul” post wouldn’t be necessary). Like I say in all my Disney Haul posts, a quick disclosure: since I am a Disney Premier Passport holder (aka someone who has an annual pass to both Disneyland AND Disney World), I get a pretty good discount on merchandise (20% off at Disneyland and now 20%, it used to be 10% but WDW upgraded the discount, off at Disney World.) Here is my winter 2017 Disney World Haul: Continue reading
