Epcot International Festival of the Arts | Walt Disney World Resort

January 25, 2017

Epcot International Festival of the Arts
Happy Wednesday everyone! I know it’s been a while since my last post (almost 12 days, yikes!). In fact, I’m pretty sure this is the longest I’ve gone without posting since I first launched this blog back in 2013 (side note, I can’t believe this blog is turning FOUR years old later this year?! Man does time fly by!). I’ve just been super sick lately (I’ve literally been coughing non-stop for the past three days, which is odd because the weather has been beautiful here in Chicago) and although I’ve wanted to post, I just didn’t feel up to it. That’s one of my favorite things about having a blog, I have the powerful (if you read that in He-Man’s voice then you’re awesome) to update as often as I want! As some of you may know (especially if you follow me on Instagram), I spent last week (and a part of the week before that) at Disney World (aka my second home) exploring the (first ever) Epcot International Festival of the Arts. Although I wasn’t planning on visiting Disney World again until March (for the kickoff of the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival), after hearing more details about the Epcot International Festival of the Arts I knew I HAD to check it ou(what kind of Disney lover/annual passholder would I be if I didn’t?). So, I decided to take an impromptu trip (I literally planned and booked the trip FOUR DAYS before hand) to Florida! Traveling and Disney are two of my favorite things so whenever the opportunity to combine the two arrives, I JUMP at it!  Continue reading

Disney World Haul: Summer 2016

September 9, 2016

Disney World Haul
Happy Friday! It’s a new month, which means it’s time for a new Disney Haul! I just got back from Orlando a little under two weeks ago and I thought today would be the perfect day to share my latest Disney World haul! Since I’m heading to Disneyland next month for Halloween and then again in November for the holidays and then DC later this month, the Bahamas in October and Paris for Christmas, I tried to hold off on getting too many souvenirs but I guess I couldn’t help myself (I tend to go a little overboard at Disney but I can’t help it!) Like I say in all my Disney Haul posts, a quick disclosure: since I am a Disney Premier Passport holder (meaning I have annual passes to both Disneyland and Disney World), I get a pretty good discount on merchandise (20% off at Disneyland and 10% off at Disney World). Here’s my Disney World Summer 2016 Haul:  Continue reading

Be Our Guest Restaurant Review | Walt Disney World Resort

May 25, 2016

Disney World Be Our Guest ReviewWell, it is officially the end of an era. As of Monday (May 23), my Disney Premier Passport is no longer active. Meaning, I am no longer an annual passholder to Disneyland OR Disney World (although, I’m still a Disneyland Paris annual passholder until April 2017 so that’s awesome). I still can’t believe how fast time flew by. When I first purchased my Disney Premier Passport back in May 2015 (during the kickoff of the Disneyland 60th Anniversary Diamond Celebration), I could have never imagined that I would have visited the Disney Parks TEN times in just 12 months (especially since I live in Chicago/nowhere near the Disney Parks). But since I LOVE Disney and it’s such a huge part of my life, I made it my priority to visit whenever I could (I actually plan on writing a “pros of being a Disney annual passholder post” soon!). On the bright side, I’m heading back to Disney World in August (where I’ll be becoming a Disney Premier Passport holder again) and I was able to score reservations at Be Our Guest again. Speaking of Beauty and the Beast, have you seen the teaser trailer? Since I’ll be dining at Be Our Guest again (this time for lunch) this summer, I thought today would be the perfect time to talk about my Be Our Guest dinner experience last Christmas. Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival | Walt Disney World

Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival 2016
Although I’ve been to Disney World more times than I can count (I’ve visited the Disney Parks, including Disney World, Disneyland and Disneyland Paris, TEN times in the last 12 months alone so you catch my drift), this year was my first time experiencing the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival! Since becoming a Disney Premier Passport holder (aka someone who has an annual pass to both Disneyland AND Disney World, I’m also an annual passholder to Disneyland Paris) last May (my pass sadly expires next week but don’t worry, I’m DEFINITELY renewing it), I’ve really tried to focus on crossing off as many things on my Disney bucket list as possible. Since attending the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival has been something I’ve been itching to do for YEARS now, I thought this year would be the perfect time to finally go see it (since I’m a passholder!). I ended up spending three days (well, one full day and two half days) exploring the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival and all I can say is photos DO NOT do it justice! It was absolutely breathtaking and I think it’s something ALL Disney lovers should experience in person (honestly, you don’t even have to be a huge Disney fan to appreciate all the beauty the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival has to offer!). Disney World Haul: Spring 2016

May 19, 2016

Disney World Haul
Happy Thursday (aka Friday eve)! I JUST got back from Disney World so I thought today would be the perfect day to share this month’s Disney Haul! Since I was only a Disney World for a few days and I was mostly there for the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival (stay tuned tomorrow for a recap of that), I didn’t get much during this trip (and most of the stuff I did get was Flower and Garden Festival related!). It’s always so bittersweet whenever I leave the Disney Parks because on the one hand, I go through serious Disney withdrawals (even though I visit like every month) whenever I leave but on the other hand it’s always so much fun counting down until my next visit (I’m heading back to Disney World for TWO WEEKS in August!). Like I say in all my Disney Haul posts, a quick disclosure: since I am a Disney Premier Passport holder, I get a pretty good discount on merchandise (20% off at Disneyland and 10% off at Disney World). Here’s my Disney World spring 2016 haul: Continue reading
