In honor of tomorrow’s Doctor Who Series 8 premiere, I decided to dedicate this edition of Blind Box & Bag Roundup to everyone’s favorite Time Lord! In today’s BB&BR I’m opening four Character Building Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Micro Blind Bag Figures (say that three times fast!) I’ve been wanting to get some of these Doctor Who figures for a while now but I just didn’t want to pay $4! Luckily, a local store who sold these figures was going out of business (not so lucky for the store owner though) so everything was on massive clearance. I was able to pick these babies up for just $1.99! I LOVE Doctor Who, like seriously LOVE! The story lines, the acting, the WRITING (Shoutout to Steven Moffat), the sometimes cheesy effects, it all works together so effortlessly.
I can honestly say that this is the first BB&BR where I really don’t care which figure I get! I honestly want ALL 11 Doctors (seriously how cute are these little guys?) Even though I grow up on the ninth, tenth and eleven doctor, that doesn’t necessarily mean they are my favorites. I actually have a strong connection with the fourth, fifth and sixth doctors.
SIDE NOTE: It rained like CRAZY last night in Chicago so our entire basement got flooded (boo!) Thank goodness my computer wasn’t down there or it would have been completely destroyed (thus leaving me completely destroyed!) Back to the show…
The first figure I got was the fifth Doctor, who was played by Peter Davison. Fun fact: Davison’s daughter (Georgia Moffett) is married to David Tennant aka the 10th doctor, which means Tennant and Moffett’s children’s father AND grandfather were Doctor Who! Talk about a cool family reunion! Speaking of the tenth doctor, I happened to get his figure as well. The third figure I got was the second doctor, who was played by Patrick Troughton. I’m a little bummed I got two fifth doctors, but that’s the risk with blind bag figures!
Any fellow Whovians out there!? Are you excited for Doctor Who tomorrow?
