I can’t believe it’s been a whole month since my trip to Disneyland Paris (man, it seems like time flies by so fast these days). I know it took me forever to get this post up but between traveling to Disney World for the Epcot International Flower and Garden festival (and getting that post up before the festival ended May 30) almost immediately after returning home from Europe and getting over a terrible cold (being sick this time of year is the absolute worst), I just didn’t have the time (that and I had thousands of Disneyland Paris photos to sift through). I decided to spend all last weekend (finally) going through all my Disneyland Paris photos so I could finally share with you all my Disneyland Paris experience (spoiler alert: It was AMAZING!). Also, just a heads up, this post contains almost 200 photos (I know, I know but I tired to edit it down, and I did, but I HAD to include all these photos). Since this post is so photo heavy (and long), I’ll be covering Walt Disney Studios Park (the other park at Disneyland Paris) in a separate post. Continue reading
Since I’m such a HUGE art lover (if you couldn’t already tell by my weekly visits to the Art Institute of Chicago or by all the art exhibits I’ve posted about in the past), I knew that visiting The Louvre was one of my TOP priorities while I was in Paris (it was basically tied with Disneyland Paris as a MUST DO while on my trip). During my ten days in Paris, I decided to dedicate one whole day to exploring The Louvre. Even though I spent six straight hours at The Louvre (I actually spent a total of seven hours there but after the first hour I decided to make a quick trip to the Notre-Dame Cathedral, since they are so close to each other, before spending the rest of the day at The Louvre), I still felt like it wasn’t enough time. The Louvre is HUGE and even six (technically seven) hours there isn’t enough to cover every hall and exhibit. Strategy wise, I decided to pick out a few paintings and sculptures I knew I really wanted to see (like the Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo) and after I made sure I saw them all, I just roamed the museum freely. Staying at the Vienna House Dream Castle Hotel at Disneyland Paris during my ten days in Paris was seriously a dream (get it?) come true. When I first started doing research for hotels in Paris, I automatically knew I wanted to stay at either a Disneyland Paris hotel or a Disneyland Paris partner hotel (since I knew I’d be spending the bulk of my Paris trip at Disneyland Paris).
Since the Disneyland Paris hotels were a little (okay, a lot) out of my price range, I ultimately opted for a Disneyland Paris partner hotel. Out of the eight Disneyland Paris partner hotels, the Vienna House Dream Castle Hotel immediately caught my eye (I mean, who doesn’t want to stay at a hotel with “dream castle” in its name?!).
Located about 10 minutes away from Disneyland Paris and the TGV train station (which takes you to Paris/the city), the Vienna House Dream Castle Hotel is definitely a great hotel choice for any Disneyland Paris vacation! Continue reading
