The Perfect Subscription Service For Planner Lovers: STICKII Club

September 7, 2018

STICKII Club
Is it just me or is getting mail the best feeling in the world?! Packages, letters, catalogs, heck even junk mail, I love it all! I love getting mail so much even though I’m usually the one sending it (sometimes it’s better to give than to receive!) On the rare occasion that a friend (or anyone) does send me a letter or package, it definitely becomes the highlight of that day!

If you’ve been following this blog for awhile then you already know how much I love mystery surprises! (It’s been a hot minute since my last Blind Box & Bag Roundup post!). You might also know about my love of all things kawaii and all things planner related. (Seriously, I don’t know what I’d do without my planner especially since I recently started a new job!).

So when I found out there was a subscription service that combined my three loves: mail, planning and kawaii things, I was more than thrilled and KNEW I had to check it out!

Introducing STICKII Club!

Ipsy Bag January 2015 Review

January 22, 2015

Ipsy Bag January 2015 Review. Ipsy Glam Bag review, January Ipsy Bag Review, 2015 ipsy review
It’s January which means, new month, new ipsy bag! This month marks my six month ipsy anniversary (I first joined back in July!) This is by far the longest beauty box subscription I’ve ever had (I usually cancel them within 2-3 months.) While there have been times I’ve contemplated canceling ipsy (especially since I currently have four monthly subscription services,) I just can’t seem to give it up. Of the six bags I’ve received, there’s never been a bag that I truly hated. There’s always a new product I’ve been dying to try or something I’ve never heard of but wind up loving. One of my favorite things about ipsy is getting the actual bags each month because I use them for various things (like travel makeup bags, brush bags and to hold my pens and pencils!) As you’ll see in the photos below, this months bag was double the fun because one side was white and the other was blue (talk about two for the price of one!)

January’s ipsy theme was ‘Fresh Start’! Here’s what I got in this month’s bag:

Manna Kadar Cosmetics Sheer Glo. Sheer Glo is an incandescent liquid that helps add a beautiful glow to your face. What I really like about it is the fact that you can wear in with your foundation or by itself! I mainly use it by itself when I’m leaving the house in a hurry and don’t want to put on makeup. My biggest tip when using this is don’t use a lot! Just a drop or two will do.
Nourish Organic Renewing Eye Cream. I’ve noticed that this product has been in a lot of past ipsy glam bags. In fact, I’ve seen it in at least two previous ipsy bags (I guess it’s popular with the ipsy crowd?) I’m not really an eye cream person, so this product wasn’t my favorite but I’m still willing to give it another shot!

– Pacifica Natural Mineral Coconut Eye Shadow. I’m always down for trying new eye shadow colors! The color I got was ‘Ethereal’ and it’s a light brownish/pale color. I really love it because it’s a very neutral/natural color and those are always my favorite!
– Real Techniques fine liner brush. I’ve been getting a lot of brushes in my ipsy glam bags recently (technically this is only the second brush, but still.) Honestly, I love getting new brushes because I rarely buy any new olds because I just use the same ones I’ve always had (which isn’t a good thing!) So shoutout to ipsy for giving me another new brush!
– J. Cat Beauty FANTABULOUS Gel Eye Liner. This is my second time getting a J. Cat Beauty product from ipsy. I haven’t really tried this gel eye liner out yet but it looks interesting!

Ipsy Bag December 2014 Review

December 18, 2014

Ipsy Bag December 2014 Review, December 2014 Ipsy Bag Review, December Ipsy Bag , December 2014 Ipsy Bag, Ipsy Bag Review
Guess what? Christmas is only ONE WEEK AWAY! It’s kind of a bittersweet feeling because even though I love Christmas, I feel like it came so fast this year (maybe because I didn’t have the stress of finals and papers, thank god I graduated college!) Since my mom and I are celebrating the holiday’s in Florida this year, we’ve decided that we’re going to celebrate Christmas on Saturday the 20th so we can open gifts with my sister (so technically, ‘Christmas’ is only two days away for me!) That’s why I love getting so many subscription boxes because it’s like Christmas every month! This month’s ipsy bag didn’t disappoint! It was AMAZING, definielty my favorite ipsy bag so far!

December’s ipsy theme was ‘Thinking of You’! Here’s what I got in this month’s bag:
Ipsy Bag December 2014 Review, December 2014 Ipsy Bag Review, December Ipsy Bag , December 2014 Ipsy Bag, Ipsy Bag Review
Bumble and bumble Straight Blow Dry. I don’t blow dry my hair so I gave this to my sister (she blow dry’s her hair when she’s in a rush.) This styling balm was perfect for her (or anyone who blow dry’s their hair a lot!) It tames flyaways and frizz and protects your hair from heat-styling and humidity.
CAILYN Cosmetics Just Mineral Eye Polish. I had never heard of this brand prior to last week but I’ve got to say that I’m really starting to like this eye polish (I didn’t think I’d like it at first.) The built-in sponge makes application a breeze! I’ve been using this in the crease of my eyes and mixing it with my Naked Basic palette (they blend together perfectly!)
Crown Brush Infinity Shadow/Crease Duet Brush. I can’t tell you how much I’ve been needing some new brushes! Last week while I was cleaning out my makeup caboodle, I noticed a few of my brushes were missing. I am in LOVE with this brush!
NYX Cosmetics Butter Lip Balm. I love, love, LOVE this lip balm! I was already a huge fan of NYX Cosmetics Butter Lip Balm so I was so happy to get one in this month’s glam bag. I’ve seriously been using this everyday!
tarte deluxe lights, camera, lashes™ 4-in-1 mascara. I’ve been wanting to try out this mascara for a while now but I didn’t want to spend $20. I’ve been wearing it for the past few days and I really like it!

Ipsy Bag November 2014 Review

December 11, 2014

Ipsy Bag November 2014 Review, Ipsy Bag November 2014, Ipsy Bag November review
It’s time for another Glam Bag review! This time it’s the November 2014 Ipsy Bag. I know I’m a little late (especially since my December Ipsy Bag is already on the way) but better late than never, right? This month (December) marks 6 months since I first started ipsy, making it the longest monthly beauty subscription box I’ve had (I usually quit after 3 months.) Overall, I’ve always been pretty pleased with the items I receive and I think it’s definitely worth the $10! I’ve discovered countless new brands and products thanks to ipsy and I can’t wait to see what the future holds!

November’s ipsy theme was Girl Meets Glitter! Here’s what I got in November’s bag:
Ipsy Bag November 2014 Review, Ipsy Bag November 2014, Ipsy Bag November review
clariSEASea Salt Solutions Instant Glow Powder Exfoliant: I’m always looking for a new exfoliant so I was really happy to try this out! After two uses I could already see a different in my face. My only complaint is that I wish it would have come in a full size bottle (this tiny sample ran out so quick!)
Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant: I LOVE this skin protectant! This product helps soothe, restore, calm and help relieve minor skin irritations, including roughness, redness, chapped, cracked or dry skin! I’ve been using it on my hands and they’ve gotten so soft!
Marc Anthony Oil of Morocco Argan Oil Volume Shine Hairspray: It’s an ongoing joke that in every beauty subscription post I rave about my love for all things hair related but since I’ve recently been wearing my hair naturally/curly, I’ve been avoiding using products on my hair. So I haven’t tried this out per say. Although, I’ve read a lot of reviews and it seems like everyone loves it (who doesn’t love a good Morocco Argan Oil hairspray?)

Elizabeth Mott “you’re so FINE” Eyeliner: I’d never heard of this brand beforelast month but I really love this eyeliner. It’s super easy to apply and doesn’t smudge!
Nicole by OPI Nail Polish: I LOVE this nail polish! Although I prefer Essie over OPI, I will admit that OPI is much easier to apply! I’m TERRIBLE at painting my own nails but with OPI I always seem to do an okay job. This cute glittery gray color goes perfectly with all my holiday outfits!

Ipsy Bag September & October 2014 Review

October 30, 2014

ispy bag review, October ispy bag review, October ispy bag review 2014, 2014 October ipsy bag review
Last month I completely forgot to post a review of September’s ipsy bag (whoops), so I’ve included a mini review at the bottom of this post! I can’t believe this Saturday it’s going to be November! I feel so behind in posts. I’ve only posted twice about my trip to New York (I have about four more posts from my trip) and I’ve only posted twice this week in general! I’ve been feeling a little overwhelmed with work and a few new side projects I’m working on but I’ve finally got used to this new schedule! I’ve been a member of ipsy for four months now and this has got to be my FAVORITE bag! I’m a huge fan of teal anything so I was super happy with this month’s glam bag.

This month’s ipsy theme was Beauty Candy! Here’s what I got in this month’s bag: ipsy bag review, October ipsy bag review, October ipsy bag review 2014, 2014 October ipsy bag review

Indie Lee Brightening Cleanser: I’ve been a fan of Indie Lee for a while now (I love how they sale  organic beauty products and all natural skin care) but I’ve never tried any of their products before! I was super happy to get this brightening cleanser! It looked wonders for my skin.

– Starlooks Lip Gloss: I’ve never heard of Starlooks before but I really liked this lip gloss. It didn’t leave my lips feeling sticky like some of other lip glosses I’ve tried in the past. The subtle pink color also gave my lips a very natural look!
Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer Pore Minimizing: I LOVED this product! Minimizing my pores is something I’ve spend a lot of money on. I’m always looking for a product that can help soften my pores. I’ve tried so many different types of treatments and products but nothing seems to have a lasting result! I really liked this Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation and I’m liking of buying it once I run out of this sample!

MicaBeauty Mineral Eye Shadow: My MicaBeauty eye came in the color “Harlequin” which is this beautiful sparkle blue color! It’s a little too bold for me personally but I really do like the color!
ipsy bag review, October ipsy bag review, October ipsy bag review 2014, 2014 October ipsy bag review
ROGUE by Rihanna: I’ve never been a person to buy perfume just because it’s ‘made’ (I use made very loosely) or endorsed by a certain celebrity. I liked the overall smell of the ROUGE perfume but it’s not the scent for my personally. When it comes to perfumes, I like flowery and summery scents. This scent was my musky and wintery (if that’s a word?) I’m glad I got to try it though!
September’s ipsy bag (which I forgot to post last month) theme was Street Style! Here’s what I got inside my September ipsy bag:
Hikari Lipstick. I loved the deep red color of this lipstick! It’s perfect for a night out on the town!
Pacifica Natural Water-Proof Eye Pencil. I prefer liquid eyeliner to pencil liners (although, I’m terrible at applying both) but I really liked this water proof eye pencil! I’ve been practicing applying eye liner for a few weeks now and I’m slowly getting better at it!
Be A Bombshell Smooth Criminal Powder. What I loved about this powder was it’s lightweight, ultra-fine feeling and the fact that it gave off the appearance of a natural beautiful glow.
Beauty Without Cruelty Sweet Lavender Hand & Body Lotion. I’m always a fan of getting hand lotion samples, especially if it’s small enough to carry in my purse!
 – Harvey Prince Hello Fragrance. I wasn’t a huge fan of the scent of this fragrance so I decided to give it to my friend and she LOVED it!
