If you’ve been following this blog for awhile, you’re probably already aware of the fact that I LOVE movies! Independent films, rom-coms, animated movies, even horror flicks, I aim to see them all! In fact, ever since I was a little girl, my dream has been to be a film critic and an Oscar winning (can you blame me) screenwriter. Last summer, I was invited to my first advance movie screening for the film If I Stay. After I wrote my first film review, I realized that it was time to stop waiting around for my dreams to come true! I had to MAKE them come true! Since then, I’ve attended almost a dozen screenings and have written a hand full of film reviews. I’ve meet so many amazing people and have made some great connections throughout this experience! It feels amazing when YOU take things into your own hands and take the path to make your dreams come true! I’m super happy to announce that the next screening I’ll be going to is for The Divergent Series: Insurgent!

This movie is the second installment based on the three-book bestselling Divergent series by Veronica Roth, and will be released on March 20, 2015 (aka this Friday!)  The film will be released in 2D, Digital 3D, IMAX® 3D and RealD™ 3D, opening up the world of the film on a much grander scale, enabling fans to see inside the factions unlike ever before! The Divergent Series: Insurgent is a thrilling, mind-bending action film for everyone (that’s right, it’s NOT just for young adults), packed with excitement and suspense, a lot of heart and emotion, intense stunt work and visual effects. Here’s an official sneak peek:

To get ready for The Divergent Series: Insurgent advance screening (stay tuned for the full film review this Thursday) I spent the weekend watching Divergent! I forget how much I enjoyed Divergent after re-watching it last weekend! It’s such a fast-paced interesting thriller (and it definitely gets bonus points for being set in the best city on Earth aka my hometown Chicago!)

Divergent DVD, Divergent Movie, Movie Night, Divergent Blu-Ray
I remember first seeing Shailene Woodley when she played Felicity in the American Girl movie (Felicity & Kirsten were always my least favorite AG dolls for some reason) and then again on The Secret Life of the American Teenager (I was NOT a fan of that show. I literally watched the first episode and said “nope!”) It wasn’t until 2011’s The Descendants, that I truly saw what an amazing actress she was! With films like The Spectacular NowThe Fault in Our Stars and of course, The Divergent Series under her belt, I think she’s definitely grown on me as an actress and I hope she has a long career in Hollywood!
