Exploring the American Museum of Natural History

November 17, 2014

I know I’m a little late with some of my New York posts (it’s been almost a month since I went to NYC) but bare with me, I had so many photos to go through. I also had a mini scare two weeks ago because I thought I lost one of my memory cards (thankfully I found it!) After this post, I’ll only have one more New York related adventure to share with you all!

Like I said in some of my previous posts, thanks to the wonderful folks at CityPass, I was able to visit a handful of amazing New York tourist destinations! One of those places was the lovely American Museum of Natural History. I can’t tell you how long I’ve wanted to visit this museum! While the museum itself was lovely, I do have one complaint. Why is the museum SO DARK?!

Darkness aside, here are some of my favorite snaps from my trip to the American Museum of Natural History:

I LOVE to travel! In fact, I already have two trips for winter (Christmas) and spring (my birthday) planned. There’s something so amazing about exploring everything the world has to offer. Whether it’s visiting a French art museum or seeing the Northern Lights. Speaking of seeing the Northern Lights, that’s been on my to do list for the LONGEST time! Did you know that winter is the most special time to explore the wild and untamed Norwegian scenery? Join various miniature polar expeditions like a husky sledge adventure or a snow mobile trip into the Polar Night through a frozen landscape with beautiful views of the Arctic Wilderness. I mean, just LOOK at these breathtaking views:

This mixture of local encounters, spectacular scenery and utterly unique shore activities provides an unmatched opportunity to experience and interact with the beauty and charm of Norway and it’s people. Hurtigruten’s 11 ships depart almost every day of the year, from 34 ports along the Norwegian Coast! Isn’t that amazing?!

New York, New York + $750 Amazon GIVEAWAY

October 7, 2014

Today (well, tonight) I’m heading to New York City! I’m so excited because I haven’t been to NYC in almost 7 months! It’s weird, because I’ve been to NYC about seven or eight times but I’ve never done the ‘tourist’ stuff! I’ve never been to the Empire State Building, visited any museums or even come close to seeing the Statue of Liberty. Now, thanks my pals at City Pass, that’s all about to change! I get to finally experience a true ‘New York Vacation.” While I’m in NYC, I’ll also be attending New York Comic Con and I’m so excited! I can’t wait for the Birdman Panel (and several other exciting panels) and all the cool Funko exclusives! I have a press pass to NYCC so I’ve been getting all these fun ‘press’ emails and invitations to certain events (it’s so exciting) and have even be asked to do a couple interviews!

A Woman’s Best Travel Companion (featuring U by Kotex)

August 8, 2014

*Special thanks to U by Kotex for sponsoring today’s discussion and for always having by back during that time of the month (Hey, I’m a girl. It’s nothing to be embarrassed about!)*
This summer has been jam packed with so many amazing adventures. From flying to Miami to cover the iHeartRadio Ultimate Pool Party, to heading to my favorite Indiana casino’s, to having a fun filled week touring several Florida cites, this summer has been one for the ages! Although I had a blast on the east coast this summer, I’m super excited for the upcoming months because I have two big west coast trips planed for this Fall (I can’t wait to share more details soon!)

*Two of my FAVORITE pictures I took while in Florida this June/July. The first is a sign that says “I followed you to the sun,” which is located in the Fontainebleau Miami Beach hotel. The second is a photo of Ariana Grande’s ‘Problem’ finale during day one of the iHeartRadio Ultimate Pool party.*

Whether I’m traveling halfway across the country or 25 minutes to my best friends apartment, I always make sure to keep my U by Kotex products handy (you know, just in case.) I am seriously in love with the new U by Kotex® Ultra Thin Pads with 3D Capture Core. I love that they have a one-of-a-kind center that locks away wetness to help stop leaks.
U by Kotex®, which offers a full line of feminine care products for periods including pads, liners and tampons, and Simply Sinova are on mission to save the undies! That’s right ladies! No longer will our adorable undies be casualties to Aunt Flo! Don’t just take my word for it, YOU can get your own FREE U by Kotex 3D Capture Core SAMPLES! Simply visit the U by Kotex Landing page and find the samples that best fit your mission to save the undies. Click on the “Get Sample” button and enter your mailing information. Then, sit back and wait, your samples will be on their way!

Simply Sinova Takes Miami: Day 2

June 29, 2014

Fontainebleau Miami Beach Hotel
Miami, you’re AMAZING! This city is so colorful, diverse and full of life! I couldn’t have asked for a better weekend. The iHeartRadio Ultimate Pool Party concluded last night with performances by Neon Trees, Nick Cannon (yes, Nick Cannon), MAGIC! and Jennifer Lopez (aka JLO!)

Neon Trees were up first! If you didn’t know, I LOVE Neon Trees! They have such a unique sound and style about them. They opened the second day of the Ultimate Pool Party with their new hit single “Sleeping with a Friend” (which, if you follow my Monday’s Music posts, is one of my most played songs right now!) I’ve got to say Tyler Glenn is an AWESOME human being! He has enough spark and spunkiness to go around! In between each song he would go on a little rant/banter with the audience (we’re soul mates). I really love when artists talk and interact with the crowd, it makes the concert that much better! Neon Trees also sung “Animal,” “Everybody Talks,” and “Love in the 21st Century.” I’m seriously looking forward to seeing Neon Trees in concert again, I HIGHLY recommend it!
