Happy Wednesday everyone! It’s officially October which means Spooky Season is upon us! And honestly, what’s more spooky than Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando?! Two weeks ago I finally got to experience Halloween Horror Nights for the first time. I’m not going to lie, I had very high expectations since people always seem to praise this event. Even those who aren’t huge Universal fans, like myself, speak highly of HHN (Halloween Horror Nights).
Needless to say, it definitely lived up to the hype. I’m kind of bummed I waited this long to experience HHN. Since this was my first time at the event, I wanted to share with you all a few tips for surviving HHN. (And a few things I wished I had known prior to the event!).
Here’s a Few Tips For Surviving Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando:
Happy Hump Day! Today I decided to share a few photos from my favorite place on Earth: Universal Orlando Resort. Just kidding. Not about sharing the photos but about Universal being my favorite place. Even though my love/mostly hate relationship with this theme park started when I was a kid, I STILL, even after all the times it’s let me down, try to give them the benefit of the doubt.
Universal Orlando Resort consists of two parks: Universal’s Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios (well technically it’s now three parks including Volcano Bay but you get what I mean). This post is decided to my favorite of the two, Universal’s Islands of Adventure. No shade to Universal Studios but Islands of Adventure is legit 100 times better.
(It’s not even my opinion it’s FACT!).
You guys, I FINALLY got to visit Voodoo Doughnut at Universal CityWalk in Orlando during my most recent trip to Florida in February. I’d been wanting to try Voodoo Doughnut for the longest time. I have a friend who had them in Portland and would not stop raving about them. Unfortunately, whenever I was visiting Disneyland, I never seemed to have the time to head over to Universal Studios Hollywood CityWalk to check them out.
That’s why I was SO excited when it was announced that Voodoo Doughnut would finally be making its way over to Orlando! (Thank you doughnut gods.)
Side note: I know legit GROWN adults who don’t know that the correct spelling of doughnut is “doughnut.”
Curse you Dukin’ Donuts.
Happy Friday everyone! If you checked out my latest post (or if you follow me on Instagram) then you may already know that I’m heading to Disney World next month (aren’t impromptu trips the best?). Even though I’m already heading to Disney World in August, earlier this week I found an unbeatable price on a flight to Orlando for next month so of course I booked it! Since I’m heading to Disney, that also means I’m heading to Universal Orlando. If you’ve been following this blog for a while then you might recall that I wasn’t always a fan of Universal (it’s not that I hated it, I just wasn’t to fond of it) but ever since I became a Universal Orlando annual passholder, and really got the chance to fully explore the parks, I’ve grown to really appreciate Universal. Although, I will admit I’m not a huge fan of the dinning options in Universal (Universal CityWalk is a different story though!). Ever since I started posting Disney Parks Restaurant Reviews, I’ve been wanting to share Universal Restaurant Reviews as well. The only problem is, I rarely dine at any of the restaurants at Universal Orlando. That’s not to say there aren’t any good restaurants within Universal Orlando. One of my go-to dining spots at Universal Orlando is Three Broomsticks, which is located within the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Continue reading
Happy Thursday and welcome to my first ever Universal Orlando Resort Haul (it’s basically the same as my monthly Disney Hauls but instead of Disney merch, it’s Universal merch!). Since I just got back from Orlando a little under two weeks ago and I shared my Disney World haul last week, I thought today would be the perfect time to share my Universal Orlando Resort Haul (try saying that three times fast!) Like I said in my Disney World Haul, since I’m heading to DC next week, Disneyland next month for Halloween and then again in November for the holidays, the Bahamas in October and Paris for Christmas, I tried to hold off on getting too many souvenirs during this trip. A quick disclosure: since I am now a Universal Orlando Resort annual passholder, I get a pretty good discount on merchandise (15% off!). With that being said, here’s my summer Universal Orlando Resort Haul: Continue reading
