Happy Friday and welcome to the latest installment of my 12 Months of Happiness series! I for one am so HAPPY that the weekend is finally here. I’ve been so stressed these past few days trying to meet deadline after deadline but hey, NO complaints here! I am so blessed to be able to make a living through my writing. Nothing makes me happier than writing and I’m so proud of myself for following my dreams! With that being said, September has been quite the month if I do say so myself. September and I definitely didn’t start off on good terms since I spent the first two weeks of the month with a combination of a fever, sore throat and a MAJOR headache (being sick is just the worst!). Although, the month did end with a bang thanks to my trip to DC! Here are some of the things that made September an amazing month: (Don’t forget to comment down below how your September went and what things made you smile this month! I LOVE hearing from you guys about what makes you happy!)
This month I was invited to three different advance movie screenings: Queen of Katwe (which I saw last week), The Birth of a Nation and Doctor Strange! The Birth of a Nation and Doctor Strange screenings aren’t until next week but I am super excited to see both films! I’ve talked about this on the blog before but I’ve wanted to be a film critic since I was a little girl so constantly being invited to different screenings always puts a smile on my face. I used to write film reviews here on the blog but I haven’t written on in a while, maybe I should start doing them again?
I had such a blast during my three and half days in DC! DC is such a great city (I guess it’s not “technically” a city it’s a district but you know what I mean) to visit and I always have so much fun when I’m there. During this trip I got to explore the National Aquarium and National Harbor for the first time and it was awesome!
Disney ALWAYS makes me happy but this was a particularly great month for Disney purchases! I was SO excited to find the tsum tsum Advent Calendar earlier this month (it was actually the last one in stock at my local Toys R Us) and the new Funko Disney Villains Mystery Minis (you can check out which adorable figures I got HERE!). Can we just talk about how GORGEOUS my custom Beauty and the Beast iPad case is? Shoutout to GoCustomized for this adorable case!
Here’s a few other things that made me happy in September:
- Hamilton officially started its Chicago run (I can’t wait to see it next month!).
- I got to see Melanie Martinez (AGAIN) while I was in DC!
- Lush bath bombs (need I say more?)!
- All my favorite TV shows returned!
- I got to touch a jellyfish at the National Aquarium!
- I bought the cutest Bob’s Burgers socks from Hot Topic!
- Fall started (hello sweater weather!).
