What I’m Looking Forward to This Spring (2017)

What I'm Looking Forward to This Spring
Happy Monday and welcome back to another installment of my “What I’m Looking Forward To” series! Since it’s now OFFICIALLY spring (aka my birthday season), I thought today would be the perfect time to share with you all a few things I’m looking forward to this season. If you haven’t already noticed, I LOVE making bucket listsdocumenting happy moments and writing posts like this (this just so happens to be my TENTH one) and since I’ve had such a positive response from you all on this series, hopefully that means you guys like reading these kinds of posts as much as I like writing them! I always have such a blast making these little lists and it just makes me even more excited for all of the amazing things I have planned for the next few months!  For me, spring means lots of traveling, rainy nights (which I LOVE), fresh flowers, picnics, birthday wishes, gorgeous weather, spring cleaning, chocolate bunnies, Easter baskets and everything in between! Here are a few of the things I’m looking forward to this spring (March 20 – June 20):Unicorn Cake

My birthday! Spring is my absolute favorite season because it’s my birthday season. Fun fact: I share my birthday (April 17th) with Victoria Beckham, Jennifer Garner and Sean Bean. I don’t have any big plans for my birthday this year (although I don’t think anything could top my 24th birthday last year at Disneyland Paris) but I have asked (more like requested) for a unicorn cake this year! Inside Out Cosplay

Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo (aka C2E2!). C2E2 is a Chicago fan convention dedicated to comics, pop culture, graphic novels, anime, manga, video games, toys, movies, and television. So essentially, it’s similar to other “comic cons” but it’s more pop culture and entertainment based (which I love!). I had such a BLAST last year at C2E2 (you can check out my full C2E2 2016 recap here) and I can’t wait to cover it again this year! I’m so excited because the kids from Stranger Things are going to be there (among other amazing guests) and I can’t wait to meet them (they’re so adorable!). I also can’t wait to meet the man himself, Stan Lee!

Random Traveling. You all know how much I LOVE spontaneous traveling, like the time I randomly flew to NYC for an SNL live-taping (they only let you know a week ahead of time if you’re pick for a live-taping) or two months ago when I randomly decided to go to Disney World for the first ever Epcot International Festival of the Arts (I literally bought my plane tickets/booked a hotel three days beforehand!). Although it’s not set in stone, I may be making trips to St. Louis, California and New York City this spring.

tokidoki x Rotofugi Pop-up Shop. If you’ve been following this blog for a while then you’re already aware of my love for Rotofugi Designer Toy Store & Gallery (it’s one of my favorite places to visit here in Chicago!). I’m so excited because next month (April 8th – 30th) there’s going to be an awesome tokidoki x Rotofugi pop-up shop (and word is there’s going to be gift bags and fun giveaways throughout the event!).

Here are a few other things that I’m looking forward to this spring:

  • Celebrating my mom’s birthday (in May).
  • Buying Lollapalooza tickets (they go on sale tomorrow!).
  • Running the Shamrock Shuffle (my first ever 8k!)
  • Easter (fun fact: my birthday is the day after Easter, April 17th).
  • Attending a Steve Harvey show taping later this week.
  • The Chicago Flower & Garden show.
  • Gorgeous spring weather!
