Warning, this post isn’t going to be super long. This post is mainly to show my appreciation and gratitude for a little game called Animal Crossing: New Horizons. I’ve been a fan of Animal Crossing since it’s 2001 release but for some reason New Horizons hits different! Well, I know the reason. With everything that’s going on in the world and with the “Shelter in Place”, I’ve found myself in a slight… I don’t want to say depression. I’ve just been feeling antsy and anxious.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons could not have come out at a better time! I find myself playing for hours upon hours each day. It’s such a great escape and it’s so darn fun. It’s so much fun that about three and a half weeks ago I decided to really get into the Animal Crossing community by creating an Animal Crossing IG account.
(And you guys, I just hit 500+ followers!).
Happy Easter! I know I don’t normally post on the weekend but let’s face it, we are facing a new normal these days. I don’t know about you guys but I’ve been going stir crazy. I’ve just been sitting at home these past almost 4 weeks. Not just that, I’ve been feeling kinda bummed because I can’t interact (well face to face) with my friends, co-workers or family. But, I always tend to look for the sliver lining in situations so at least I am healthy and still employed.
Still, I can’t deny that it’s been super hard to stay positive lately. That’s why I am trying to focus on the little things that make help me smile, even if it’s just for a second. You all know that I LOVE holidays, so I decided to treat myself this Easter.
Here’s what the “Easter Bunny” got me:
Long time no see friends! I’m not here to give any excuses as to why I haven’t posted in almost two weeks. I’m just here to talk about my love for Baby Yoda aka The Child from The Mandalorian. Did I say my love? I meant to say my obsession. No really, my obsession for Baby Yoda runs deep deep.
In fact, I have requested (more like demanded) that my family gets me a Baby Yoda themed cake for my birthday next month (April 17). I don’t know how or from where they are going to get a Baby Yoda cake but all I know is on April 17th I expect to see Baby Yoda in cake form!
Happy Wednesday pals! Long time no see. Let me explain. Originally, my plan was to resume uploading as soon as I got home from Disney last week but as you all know, things don’t always work out according to plan. Last weekend, out of nowhere, my laptop just died/stopped working. (Insert sad face emoji).
Let me backtrack a bit. I currently have three computers. A 2010 Macbook Pro (that I got when I started college), a 2015 Macbook Air (that I bought after graduating college) and an iMac. I haven’t used my 2010/college Macbook Pro since buying the Macbook Air in 2015. So essentially, that computer was just sitting in my room untouched for five years. And although I use do use my iMac sometimes, my main computer has been my Macbook Air.
So I was super bummed when it just stopped working.
Christmas time is my absolute FAVORITE time of year. (I mean, I’m sure that’s obvious by now). Each year I love picking out a new advent calendar to help me countdown to Christmas. For the past few years I’ve been doing LEGO themed advent calendars. This year LEGO released a super cute Star Wars and Harry Potter advent calendar.
While I love those two franchises, I wanted to do something a little different this year. I always see sock advent calendars but I never thought to get one. But this year that changed! Side note: is it just me or does anyone else’s socks just magically disappear throughout the year? I swear I start the year off with x amount of socks and by the holidays I’m left with four or five pairs.
Where do the socks go?!
Here’s my Disney sock advent calendars for 2019: Continue reading
