Yearly Broadway Recap: First Half of 2022 (January – July)

August 31, 2022

CIBC Theatre Six the Musical Aragon Tour
Hiya everyone! Welcome to a new series here on the blog. This series is dedicated  to one of my favorite things: Broadway. I’ve decided to start doing a little “Broadway recap” sort of thing. This won’t be me necessarily “recapping” the shows I’ve seen, it will more so be me listing the shows I’ve seen. Basically, this is a way to keep track of all of the show’s I’ve seen during the year.  Instead of doing this monthly I’ve decided to break the series into three posts.

The first post (this one) will recap the shows I’ve seen for the first half of the year. (Technically the first half of the year is January – June, but I’m including July in this post too). The second post will recap the shows I’ve seen during the second half of the year. Then the final/third post will be an overview of all of the shows I saw throughout the year and different little highlights about my favorite shows, etc.

So let’s get started!

Opening Disney Pins from BoxLunch | Monthly Pin Update

May 10, 2022

BoxLunch Disney Pins Winnie the Pooh Disney Pin
Happy May and welcome to a new segment here on the blog! I miss doing my little monthly segments (RIP 12 Months of Happiness) so I thought it would be fun to create a new one. (Because why not?). I’ve been slowly growing my Disney pin collection more and more and I’ve been wanting to share more about it here on the blog. This new monthly segment is called: Monthly Pin Update or MPU for short.

In this series I’ll just be updating you on what new pins I’ve gotten that month. Sometimes it will be pins I purchased or, when I go to Disney, pins I’ve traded for. I thought it would be a fun way to sort of watch the growth of my pin collection.

In April, I purchased a few new pins from BoxLunch:

The Perfect Kawaii Easter Basket | Easter 2022

Kawaii Easter Basket For Adults
Happy Thursday. I know what you’re thinking, “Three blog posts this month alone and two posts in one week?!”. I know, I know. I’m patting myself on the back as I type this. Just Kidding. But I am glad I’ve been able to blog as much as I have this month. You’re probably also thinking “Isn’t Easter this Sunday? Why are you posting about your Easter Basket now?.” Well, good question. Yes, Easter is this Sunday but Sunday is also my birthday. And since I will be at Disneyland, the Easter Bunny decided to be a real one and drop off my Easter Basket early!

Can you believe the last time I posted about Easter/my Easter Basket was in 2014!?? That feels like forever ago. I was still in college back then. Crazy.

Here’s what was in my Easter Basket:

How To Make a Simple DIY Turning Red Crossbody Bag

How To Make a Simple DIY Turning Red Crossbody Bag
Happy Monday and happy April! My birthday month has officially begun and I couldn’t be happier. To celebrate my birthday I’m going to Disneyland next week. So in honor of that trip, I wanted to do a little simple Disney DIY. Now listen, I am no seamstress but I’ve been seeing this cute DIY all over my Instagram. People have been taking the Disney Pixar Turning Red plush blanket bag and turning it into a plush crossbody bag.

When I first saw this plush bag I was curious why Disney didn’t make it into a crossbody because they’ve done it before with Duffy, Winnie the Pooh, etc. I held off from buying the bag because I didn’t want to have to carry it around. Then I saw so many people turning them into crossbody bags and I was like “hey, that’s so smart!”

So the question is, was making this crossbody really as easy as everyone made it seem?

New Year, New Post, New Broadway Show + 2022 Goals

January 19, 2022

Rodgers & Hammerstein Oklahoma Broadway in Chicago Oklahoma Playbill
Happy 2022 and welcome to a new year of Simply Sinova. I can’t believe this month is already almost over. Maybe it’s just me but I feel like time has just been speeding by. 2020 went by kind of slow in my opinion but 2021 FLEW by. And now it seems 2022 is going by just as fast. With each new year comes the ideas of change, growth and resolutions.

I don’t really do “resolutions” but I do like to set goals for myself. I’m going to try to hold myself accountable for these goals but honestly my mantra is to just take things day by day and try not to stress about the little things.

Here’s some of my goals for 2022:
