Hey guys, long time no see. Or read…technically. I thought I’d stop by today and give you guys a small life update. There’s been a lot of new things going on in my life lately. A lot of it I can’t share…yet…but don’t worry, it’s all good things. 2020 was such a trying year, not just for me but for most people. I’m so glad things are finally sort of, for the most part, going back to normal.
2020 seemed to go on forever. It’s crazy to think we are more than HALFWAY done with 2021. Seriously, where has the time gone?! Although things aren’t 100% back to how they were pre-2020 (some things will never be the same), I’m learning to take life day by day. I’m learning to enjoy the little things in life again.
Like treating myself to some Lush bath bombs!
Long time no see. Happy New year! It’s been about 9 months since I’ve written a blog post. When my blog hosting expired back in August I went back and fourth about just not renewing it and deleting this blog all together. But I knew I wouldn’t be about to forgive myself because this blog just holds so many memories. Even if I don’t update it much anymore, I at least want those memories/old posts to look back out. I’ve grown so much as a person since started this blog back in 2013 and I it really makes me smile going back and re-reading old posts.
In case you guys didn’t know it’s OFFICIALLY winter! (Aka one of my favorite seasons). So far I’ve spent the day watching a bunch of my favorite Christmas films. Speaking of Christmas, I guess Christmas came early this year because the latest Kawaii Box is like Christmas cuteness in a tiny pink and white box!
Kawaii Box is a monthly subscription service that sends you a box filled with a carefully selected mix of unique Japanese and Korean kawaii products. Each month you can expect to get 10-12 adorable Kawaii items delivered right to your front door! If you’re like me and love all things adorable, Kawaii Box is well worth the $20+/month (with free WORLDWIDE shipping!)
Here’s all the kawaii Christmas items included in the December Kawaii Box: Continue reading
Next to Christmas and my birthday, Oscar night is one of my FAVORITE days of the year (no seriously, I LOVE the Oscars)! Every year I make it my personal goal to see ALL of the Oscar nominated films BEFORE the Oscars (and before they even get nominated!). I love seeing dozens of movies throughout the year and guessing which films the Academy will recognize (I’m usually 90% right!) I’m happy to say that this year marks the NINTH straight year that I’ve completed my goal of seeing every Best Picture Oscar nominated film (if you can’t already tell, I’m a huge film buff!). For the past three years here on the blog, I’ve been able to correctly predict (almost) EVERY major Oscar win (I only got one prediction wrong back in 2015) so here’s hoping for another year of successful predictions. Here are my predictions for the 89th Academy Awards: Continue reading
As some of you can already tell from my various bucket lists, my 12 Months of Happiness series and my Must Have monthly series, I LOVE coming up with lists! It’s just so much fun jotting down ideas and making lists (and then crossing off all the things on the list!). Since I just got back from Paris and it’s the first week of 2017 (I still can’t believe how fast 2016 flew by), I thought today would be the perfect time to share with you all some of my goals for the new year. I’ve never been one for resolutions, I prefer setting goals for myself. That way, there’s less pressure if things don’t work out exactly how I planned (unlike resolutions, where I feel so stressed to achieve them!). As some of you might remember, last year I had three main goals which were to travel more, grow my record collection and have more “technology free days.” I definitely achieved my goal of traveling more! I went to Paris TWICE, Amsterdam (it was only for one day but it still counts), the Bahamas, Washington D.C., St. Louis, Indiana and California and Florida several times (to visit Disneyland and Disney World!). I’m also happy to share that my record collection grew a lot in 2016 (I know I always say I’m going to post more about my record collection/collecting records and I PROMISE I am soon. I actually have a lot of fun ideas planned for that) and I definitely had more “technology free” days this year (especially toward the end of the year)! Keeping with the theme of 2016, this year I came up with three goals I really hope to achieve in 2017:
