A Walk Down Memory Lane: Missing My Favorite Art Museums

March 1, 2021

The Philadelphia Museum of ArtHi everyone! Happy March! Long time no see, I know, I know. I’m happy to announce that from here on out I’m going to (try to) start posting regularly again. At one point in time I was posting three times a week (usually Monday, Wednesday and Friday) but for now I’m going to try to commit to at least once a week. (And then slowly increase to twice a week and so on).

Now that it is officially March and we’re approaching the one year mark of the pandemic, I thought why not do a little walk down memory lane. In today’s post I wanted to talk about one of the things I’ve really been missing lately: my museum visits. (More specially, visiting art museums). First world problems, I know. Trust me, this pandemic has effected my life (and so many others) in more ways that I could ever describe but I wanted to keep it semi light hearted!

An ode to all my favorite art museums:

Visiting the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C.

December 12, 2019

Obama Portrait in National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C.Happy Thursday. I was suppose to post this Wednesday/Yesterday but I had to stay late at work. Anyway…I’m so glad it’s finally Thursday because I’m at Disney World! Yay! I’ve missed my second home/ Disney World so much. I’m forever grateful that I have a job/work for a company that allows me to travel so much.

Speaking of traveling, I spent last weekend (well, like a day and a half) in DC. While in DC I got to visit the National Portrait Gallery. As so all know, I love me some museums! (And this one is exception).

Here are some photos from the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C.

Marvel: Universe of Super Heroes Exhibit at The Franklin Institute

August 9, 2019

Marvel: Universe of Super Heroes Exhibit at The Franklin Institute It’s no secret that I love all things Disney. And by all things Disney, I mean ALL things Disney. That includes: Pixar, Star Wars, The Muppets and of course Marvel. Although, I was a huge Marvel fan way before Disney purchased them. Or before Iron Man and the start of the MCU. (Marvel Cinematic Universe for all the non-Disney speakers). My love of Marvel started way back in the 90’s when I was just a little girl.

Growing up I LOVED X-Men. Love might not even be a strong enough word. I’ve mentioned this several times on the blog before but I even wanted to bleach a strip of my hair white when I was a kid so I could look like Rouge. I loved anything X-Men related. The comic books, the animated TV shows, the live-action films, video games. If it was X-Men, I watch/owned it!

Yup, my love for Marvel goes way back.

Exploring The Philadelphia Museum of Art

June 7, 2019

Philadelphia Museum of ArtFunny story…remember when I shared THIS post back in December about visiting Philadelphia during the holidays? In that post I said that I would be doing a separate post all about my trip to The Philadelphia Museum of Art. Well, it looks like I never did it (insert shocked emoji face). I honestly didn’t even realize it until I was deleting photos from my camera last weekend and went “Did I ever even share these photos on the blog?”. Yikes.

Since I’m heading to Philly next weekend, I thought I might as well (finally) share more about my visit to The Philadelphia Museum of Art.

Just a little preface, neither of the two exhibitions I’m going to be highlighting are still ongoing. They both closed back in March. BUT they were both amazing and definitely still worth sharing! The two exhibitions I’m going to talking about today are the Fabulous Fashion: From Dior’s New Look to Now and Little Ladies: Victorian Fashion Dolls and the Feminine Ideal exhibits.

Now onto the post!
